Glenn Beck -- You Have to be Kidding

Bolder and more dangerous -- could be on verge
of the point of no return.

Glenn Beck is staging a rally at the Lincoln Memorial on August 28, 2010, the 47th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King's sacred, "I Have a Dream" speech. On occasion, Beck has devoted shows to African Americans who supposedly support his ideals and as such tries to convince his audience he is the one telling the truth about Martin Luther King and that somehow they are like minded.

x
Does anybody think Martin Luther King would have anything to do with a two-bit dried out drunk, screaming, crying, and shouting fool of a talk show host? Just to mention Glenn Beck in the same breath as Dr. King is an insult to Dr. King's legacy.
x
The potential for some grim confrontations at the Lincoln Memorial on that most sacred date in Civil Rights history is very real. All of it will serve Beck beautifully no matter how it comes out for it will gain him publicity and notoriety. It would serve Beck's warped little mind tremendously if for instance the New Black Panthers showed up. Beck is also a damned fool if he doesn't think radical leftist won't infiltrate his audience and plant instigators who will attempt to stir up trouble and have it blamed on the Beck supporters.
x
This looks like a ridiculous story from a deranged media figure who can't resist the temptation to create what could be the media spectacle of the year.
x
Unfortunately, the uproar it could cause could be very dangerous to everyone from Tea Party supporters to Republican candidates who the media would lump in with whatever upheaval results from Beck's showmanship.
x
Hopefully, DC police will have the area well contained and there will be some calm heads to help keep a lid on things. There is hardly a more polarizing person than Glenn Beck. He just might reach the point of no return with this escapade.
x
Folks must recognize Beck for what he is and that his false sincerity is nothing more than showmanship.
