ABC News Reveals Obama Lied About AARP Endorsement of Federal Health Care Takeover
AARP deserves much scrutiny. They are not the voice of seniors they claim to be and way too often are found far to the left of their membership; however, they have made clear that they do not endorse the current health care takeover plans especially as they almost certainly reduce Medicare benefits.
AARP’s position is as follows from their statement:
“While the President was correct that AARP will not endorse a health care reform bill that would reduce Medicare benefits, indications that we have endorsed any of the major health care reform bills currently under consideration in Congress are inaccurate.”
Contrast that to Obama’s statement today: “We have the AARP on board because they know this is a good deal for our seniors.”
