Miserly Contributions to Charity Go Right to the Core of the Liberal Lie, Those Who Pretend to Believe in Benefiting the Less Fortunate Talk the Talk but Refuse to Walk the Walk
Joe Biden’s and his wife, Jill’s tax returns were made public as part of the disclosure process followed by candidates for major office. For a family taking in over $200,000 every year for the past ten years, only once, last year, when the family income exceeded $300,000 did the Biden’s give more than $380 a year to charity.
In the Liberal world, life is a “Do as I say, not as I do! reality where their conduct is not subject to the same kind of rules they expect out of others. Is it possible that their endorsement of all kinds of government entitlements to fix society’s problems is a reflection that if something isn’t mandated by law, people are essentially as greedy and self-serving as they are?
There are so many ways average citizens give to support programs and efforts that help others out of the goodness of their hearts and sense of duty to their fellow man whether it’s chipping in some money in the church collection plate, having a little bit taken out of each paycheck to support the United Way, or directly donating to all kinds of good organizations that are in the trenches helping others from helping seniors and the poor to programs that benefit children like the Scouts (Boys and Girls). This is something that good working people do just because it is the right thing to do.
What better event to show the necessity of charitable giving than seeing who comes rushing in when disaster strikes as what is going on in Texas in the aftermath of Hurricane Ike, the Red Cross and Salvation Army among many others are right there providing aid and comfort to those whose lives who are turned inside out by such disasters.
How can those of us who contribute to various charities in all the different ways we can and see what’s going on before our eyes in Texas and not be horribly insulted by the Biden family’s miserly giving?
Contrast this to the McCain family with just one for instance, Mrs. McCain bringing home a girl with Downs Syndrome from Bangladesh and adopting her? Further, Sarah Palin’s road to politics started working as a PTA volunteer for the benefit of her childrens’ and their community’s schools.
Words mean nothing. Actions mean everything when a person’s character is on display. Who wants to imagine what the excuses and rationale might be. For every person who pays with his or her time and money whether donating money to helping organizations, participating in Walk-a-thons, clean-up days in their communities, or providing rides for medical appointments for the disabled or elderly, how can a caring person not see the horrible hypocrisy, greed, and arrogance demonstrated by Biden’s habits?
Does anyone think this man is capable of feeling shame for this? What a blatant disgrace. Character is what folks show when no one else is watching, doing something because it’s the right thing to do not something a person has to do.
