NEVER Forget Tienanmen: The World MUST be Watcing!

June 4, 1989, as the evil of communism was falling around the world, oppressed countries like Poland, East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Soviet republics were gaining their freedom from the totalitarian grip of corrupt hard core socialism, the people of China sought to truly be a "people's" republic of China as peaceful demonstrations broke out around the vicious, corrupt, oppressive country nowhere more obvious to the eyes of the world than in the heart of Beijing, Tienanmen Square. Refusing to consider any measure of reform, Chinese tanks and troops converged upon the peaceful gathering of their brothers and sisters brutalizing those who would not submit to the force of communism's iron boot on their throats.

In the 21 years since the wicked Chinese regime showed its true colors butchering its own people, China has marched on to where it is rapidly becoming the world's most powerful economy poised to overtake the United States in just a matter of a few years. In 1997, the British Government handed over Hong Kong to the Chinese Government giving them one of the world's most sophisticated financial hubs. While beating the crap out of the Tibetans and dissidents, the Chinese regime dressed up its capital city to put on a great public relations display hosting the 2008 Summer Olympics with the world media restricted what images they could broadcast to the rest of the world showing the wretched conditions for much of the population and the ever visible signs of gasping pollution, a matter which just doesn't matter to the murderous minions of madness.

Chinese Hegemony is growing at an astonishing pace supported by the United States economy both seeking cheap finished goods and using Chinese resources as a constant line of credit to prop up a deficit ridden economy. The United States weakness and lack of economic resolve is transfusion power and strength that was once America's and is now Chinese, and for what?

The government in Beijing is the same band of belligerent blood-thirsty cutthroats who killed their own people 21 years ago today. We must recognize the Chinese are not our friends. They are using us and we're begging to them to use us. The results could be catastrophic making some future date  where Chinese tanks marching on Time Square or the Mall in Washington DC not seem all that improbable.

Remember the chants of the Chinese demonstrators before their slaughter, "The world is watching, the world is watching." In 2011, we and the rest of the world damned well better be watching and know what is going on.

Netanyahu's Washington Dilema

Can there be any question that Barack Obama has no interest in Israel’s well-being?

Barack Obama’s speech given Thursday May 19, 2011 marked a great departure from what has been American policy in support of Israel supporting defensible boundaries to where Obama insists that Israel abandon all land to revert to its boundaries before 1967 when Israel ceased land from surrounding Arab nations in response to their unprovoked attack on the democratic nation. Such concessions would mean abandoning east Jerusalem, site of some of the most sacred Christian and Jewish holy icons and would leave Israel’s Ben Gurion airport just eight miles from the Palestinian boundary putting the entire area in easy surface to air launcher range. The Golan Heights would also revert to Syria creating another strategic nightmare.

Obama’s intentions on the even of Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu’s visit is not the first time Netanyahu has been given the cold shaft by the radical Obama regime. In March, 2010, Netanyahu was denied customary accommodation for a friendly foreign head of state instead of getting the red carpet treatment was shown the back door where no formal photo shoots or any of the other traditional rituals of respect were shown one of America’s closest and most proven allies, an island of sanity in the turmoil of Arab radicalism and anarchy. With not even the courtesy of a White House dinner, the message was clear that Israel as represented by Netanyahu was not worthy of the kind of respect American allies have a long tradition of expecting.

The timing of Obama’s slight leading to Netanyahu’s next visit couldn’t be more of a vicious slam. At a time when the U.S. Special Forces, Navy Seals, eliminated Osama Bin Laden, a shared enemy to both states, when turmoil in adjoining Syria shows conclusively the brutal totalitarian nature of Israel’s neighboring enemy, what could be more disconcerting to America’s ally than Obama announcing to the world, a plan for rendering his country helpless. Were Israel to unilaterally concede territory once again would leave it with essentially no negotiation chips left to deal with its surrounding adversaries.

This event shows the true radical character of Obama’s world outlook. That Obama has failed to visit Israel certainly showed the aversion the American upstart President feels to the Jewish state. Consistent with leftist ideology and its sense that anything having roots in European colonialism is wicked, the extent to which Obama’s measured occasional utterances of support for Israel seem so shallow when his core instincts would support the country’s obliteration.

How American Jews will accept this stunning slam of their kinship for such shallow political motives remain to be seen. It stands to reason, Obama could be tossing aside potential political support for the most nebulous of political ideals and showing once again that no American ally is safe from harm with Obama in the White House.

Any person who supports Israel and western Democracy must be extremely troubled with the total naïveté and passivity Obama’s address shows in his approach to the current upheaval in Islamic nations. At a time when the U.S. could clearly be posturing from a position of strength, Obama instead has chosen to capitulate to showing America apologetic in stance incapable of exercising control and leadership.

Barack Obama once again fails to understand that capitulation is seen as weakness by the Islamic world and Israel will pay the horrible consequences as a result.

How any American ally can trust America when Israel has been so casually tossed aside and betrayed raises even tougher questions?

Every concerned American must show the administration its outrage at the radical, weak, and dangerous stance Obama has taken in the Middle East and Islamic world.

How can the Israeli people not feel betrayed and lied to?

Obama Sells Out Israel

Middle East Madness

Barack Obama has not only abandoned one of the United States most sacred allies but is also pursuing an absolutely dangerous agenda in demanding that Israel should return to its 1967 borders.

How is it that Israel expanded beyond those 1967 boundaries? Because they were attacked by surrounding Arab nations. They were plunged into a war they did not provoke and in the process clobbered their opponents in defense of their homeland. That their victory provided the opportunity to acquire more land to make their population more secure with more defensible boundaries only seems just.

The key prize in this dispute is Jerusalem, the great holy city and capital of the Israeli state. East Jerusalem, which under Obama’s concocted notion would be surrendered to Palestine. Including in this section of the city are the most sacred sites to both Jewish and Christian worshippers. Though Israel is a Jewish State, they respect the rights of other religions. Turn it over to Palestine and see what respect is shown Christians and Jews who seek to find their spirituality in their most sacred space.

That Hamas and Hezbollah, both terrorist groups, are the two main political factions within Palestine drives home what fateful dilemmas the nation of Israel deals with every day. Surrounded by factions that have pledged to their destruction, one of the most civilized, highly educated societies attempts to continue a sustainable quality of life for its citizens.

If Obama’s radical plans were forced upon them, Israel could be doomed. There is no bargaining with terrorists. What good do concessions to those who are pledged to Israel’s destruction do for the nation’s survival?

Terrorism is a day-to-day fact of life in Israel. Israel has made many concessions to Palestine while they continue to be attacked from Syria, Lebanon, and Gaza. How can the President of the United States, in good conscience continue demand Israel surrender more?

Carter in Cuba

Carter schmoozing in Cuba

Jimmy Carter is the national disgrace who keeps disgracing US. No former President has usurped the authority of the office he once dishonored with his extreme incompetence than the Jew-hating, Palestinian advocate, former peanut farmer than James Earl Carter. Time after time, Carter has used his status speaking in international venues to undermine the foreign policy and international objectives of the United States particularly on matters of Middle East relationships.

Now, he has taken his intense disloyal conduct to a higher degree travelling to Cuba sucking up to Raul Castro, the murderous acting dictator of the Communist state.

Reference article:
http://www.miamiherald.com/2011/03/28/2138730/carter-in-cuba-for-meetings-with.html

His conduct is a cruel slap in the face to every Cuban-American many of whom fled Cuba in death defying actions to arrive in the land of freedom. The Cuban American community is painfully aware of what their fellow neighbors, relatives, and ancestors have done in the quest of freedom.

We cannot allow a revisionist sentiment to color the history of the murderous deeds of the Castro brothers and their contributions to stirring up rancor through out the hemisphere.

To what degree the Obama administration condones Carter's behavior is not known, but it certainly provides an unneeded distraction at a time when they struggle to competently respond to the turmoil in the Middle East.

The Obama administration's incompetence and naivete reminds us of the misery of the Carter years. Then and now, America turned inward rejecting its roll as the greatest force of good on the planet.

Somali Pirates

It might not be as easy as it seems, but the strategy is simple, the solution to solving the Somali pirate problem vexing the Arabian Sea and northwestern Indian Ocean is simple... KILL THEM!!

This issue requires no diplomatic genius but concrete decisive action. Certainly, what happens on the ground in Somalia needs to be addressed too as well as harsh reprisals for any organization, political entity, or state that harbors or condones this international outrage.

The pirates have the upper hand to the extent that spineless governments appease them.

Gadhafi's Final Act Confirms -- A Genocidal Maniac of Historic Proportions

Moammar Gadhafi is butcherig his own people ordering his Air Force to kill Libyan civilians from their fighters. Two fighters have bolted to Malta rather than fire on their own people. Hundreds have been slaughtered. Not since Tiananmen Square has a government unleashed brutality on its own people on a scale this great though Iran sure has tried. The oil rich country, one of the earliest supporters of Arab terrorism and Locherbie airline explosion, could be facing all-out civil war as the Libyan military is increasingly splitting from its leadership leaving Gadhafi paid mercenaries to his dirty work. For a dictator who has been lying low for the last couple decades, having American cruise missiles aimed at him might have had something to do with that, the Libyan tyrrant is going all out to live up to the worst of his reputation vowing to die fighting. Clearly, the rebels would be happy to expedite his fate.

How disturbing it is that the White House has been all but mute on this massacre not calling the master of genocide out for his slaughter. Even Secretary of State, Hilary Clinton conspicuously avoided mention of this fiend in her remarks on the violence.

Where is American moral leadership in yet another episode in the Muslim world where the most fundemental of human rights are being oppressed with intense lethal force. The Obama administration can't play nice when geocide marches on. If the United States is to have any hope of ever establishing constructive relationships with a post-Gadhafi Libya, this is no way to do it.

We pray for the survivors of the Tripoli terror and hope justice will prevail.

United Nations: Business as Usual -- Iran to Guard Women's Rights

While it is an absolute moral outrage, no one should be surprised that Iran was granted a position on the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Iran, a nation that institutionalizes the torture, abuse, and subjugation of women, now has a voice on women's affairs before the world body.

x

While this should come as no surprise given vicious dictatorships that routinely torture and kill their citizens have found places on the Civil Rights panel, that the United States would let this happen without at least making some symbolic stance that would surely be defeated by the majority of nations that could care less how countries treat their citizens is an outrage. Furthermore, this action reinforces with Iran that they have nothing to fear from the world body as they move forward toward having nuclear bombs and the ICBM's to launch them.

x

To call the world body an esteemed organization or to believe its rulings come from some high minded sense of world justice is a joke. The United States must take the high road and be faithful to its long standing principles when dealing with the United Nations. We, not them, are the greatest force for good in the world even with a corrupt socialist as President.

Haiti

Surely by now anyone who doesn't live under a rock is aware a horrible earthquake over 7.0 on the Richter Scale devastated the country of Haiti, by far the poorest and least stable country in the Western Hemisphere.
x
Massive public and private efforts are under way to help the Haitian people whose situation is made far worse by having virtually no infrastructure and a totally ineffective and corrupt government. In a nation of approximately nine million people, the low estimate is that at least 50,000 people have been killed while the work goes on to rescue more.
x
This is no time for cynicism. As humans, we are compelled by our humanity to help those in need. In the long term, we must work with the people of Haiti to rebuild their country and develop a productive healthy society.

Afghanistan: A Complicated Mess Requiring Iron-Fisted Resolve

Foreign relations are seldom a pretty business and what could better make this point than what the United States faces in Afghanistan. Hamid Karzai’s government is filthy corrupt. His brother is a notorious drug lord. His government does little governing but mostly wheeling and dealing.

Making matters worse was the results of the recent national elections that Karzai won but reports of massive corruption were widely noted forcing a runoff election. Runner up Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah withdrew from the race indicating that the race was fixed and that the IEC (International Elections Commission) was biased to favor Karzai. The Taliban promised retribution against anyone participating in the election which surely would result in substantial murder regardless of what the Allied forces could do to prevail.

Given no competition, the runoff election has been cancelled and Karzai declared winner. As our military forces desperately need more resources and manpower, defending what appears to be a total farce of a government seems untenable.

The correct perspective is that the United States and its allies are fighting against the Taliban and Al Qaeda to destroy their ability to launch terrorist campaigns. Never mind the horrible abuses and outright torture against the Afghan people the Taliban inflicted when in power including the complete oppression of women kept out of the job market and school existing as little more than slaves of their male family members. The image of the burka, little more than a burlap sack from head to toe with a little mesh area allowing some visibility, stands as symbol of the outrageous cruelty of the most wicked bastardization of the Islamic religion.

In world affairs, circumstances don’t always provide “good” allies. In Afghanistan, we have little more than a convenient and situational relationship supporting the Karzai government which our military action set the stage to be elected. How much hope the civilized world afforded Hamid Karzai upon his election in 2002. He had a worldly and exotic charm that projected a calming aura as if he were the face of a more civilized and ready to move forward Afghani nation.

The truth is most of Afghanistan is ungovernable. There is no unifying infrastructure, almost no presence of a working legal system, and a population that functions more within the context of tribes and other smaller subdivisions who have little sense of any Afghan nation.

Like it or not, though, our destiny brings us to the mountainous region along the Afghanistan/Pakistan border, a miserable land of wicked tribes and practitioners of the most extreme form of Islam. Given the geographical isolation and lack of any controlling government, here’s where the forces of evil can develop their campaigns of terror launched at the rest of the world as witnessed in major cities throughout Western Europe and the attacks on New York and the Pentagon on 9/11/01.

Our nation and its allies must set forth that the mission is not complete until the terrorist entities best demonstrated by Al Qaeda are completely destroyed. We must accept that this will be accomplished through brute force killing as many individuals involved in terror as possible. There is no “kiss and be nice” talky-talk solution.

While the United States must always work to take the high road to exhibit exemplary conduct in its world affairs, war is a dirty business and we must realize that for the best institutions the world has to offer to survive, very tough decisions including appearing to “dance with the devil” must be considered.

President Barack Obama is either too bound to an unrealistic idealistic vision of foreign affairs or is simply too naïve to realize what’s at stake and what needs to be done. Without further delay, “dithering,” and endless analysis, he must support our military operation with all effort and priority focused on absolute victory. There is no room for anything less.

Reality Check on the So-Called Torture Debate

One on the loose, two others still at "Gitmo" all threats to American safety.
-
As the debate on interrogation degenerates into a highly partisan, mean-spirited witch hunt, the American people must consider the context from which this debate emerged and the issues at stake that required the most forceful interrogation possible. The more the public understands what was at stake, the more the current grandstanding, ranting and raving by members of the Democratic party will not only seem like a vicious attempt to mischaracterize the Bush administration, and by extension, the Republican party, but also attacks the entire intelligence gathering and defense operations undertaken in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 terrorists attacks on the New York World Trade Center and the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia.

The procedure which is creating the most uproar is called waterboarding. A subject is restrained with his/her head inclined downward, then water is poured over the subject’s mouth and nasal passages creating the sensation of suffocation and drowning. Because the subject’s head is directed downward and water does not drain into the lungs itself, it causes no physical harm to the subject. The gagging reaction is reflexive almost impossible for the subject to control. The procedure causes no physical damage whatsoever, but it is, unquestionably, extremely horrifying triggering the body’s defenses as if it were on the verge of death.

While the procedure is difficult to endure, news reporters including a representative from Fox news voluntarily underwent the procedure to be able to explain their experience. Further, some of our nation’s most elite special forces undergo the procedure as part of their toughening preparation in their survival training.

The debate as to whether this constitutes torture is certainly legitimate. In the context of a “lasting harm” argument, there’s no way waterboarding could be considered torture. That is creates intense distress is likewise undeniable. Thus the debate first revolves around whether the procedure constitutes torture. The prevailing view among the Democratic party, the news media, and many Republicans considers that it is torture or at least cruel and extreme. The other part of the debate centers on given the terrorist figures on whom these methods were employed, given the intelligence they possessed, how timely it was, and the threat to all Americans they could possibly reveal, how far can our interrogators go to extract such intelligence knowing they might have inside knowledge of future terrorist attacks and their understanding of America’s weaknesses that terrorists can exploit.

Khalid Shaikh Mohammed was the highest level terrorist waterboarded. Mohammed was Osama Bin Ladin’s top strategic operative who was responsible for devising, preparing, staging, and directing the September 11, 2001 attacks. Additionally, he had knowledge of other operations under way which included destroying the Brooklyn Bridge in New York and staging a second phase of the 9/11 style attacks on Los Angeles.

The American people need to consider what was at stake. Of what value was that intelligence? How many more American citizens’ lives were threatened? If that is the case, possibly hundreds or thousands of lives, how much pressure is justified against a person responsible for such potential atrocities who already played a critical roll in over 3,000 deaths in the original attacks?

Terrorist captives Abu Zubayda and Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri were also reported to have been waterboarded. Abu Subayda served as a senior Bin Ladin official the United States had been following at least as early as 1999 during the Clinton administration. He played a key role in the east African embassy bombings and had plans in various states of development to attack U.S. and Israeli targets in Jordan. He is also implicated in a plot to blowup the international airport in Los Angeles. Zubayda was shown to be the ultimate Al Qaeda insider with knowledge and involvement of the full reach of the terrorist’s organizations schemes.

Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri is most noted for his role staging the attack on the USS Cole in the port of Yemen. He was involved in the planning and staging of numerous Al Qaeda plots.

As the so called “torture” debate explodes into a mad frenzy in Washington and across the news media specifically aimed at prosecuting the Bush administration for the actions it undertook and the means by which they determined such actions as legal and justified, what is lost in the discussion is any sense of context and urgency.

That the United States was caught unprepared and uniformed about the extent of Bin Ladin’s terrorist campaigns through Al Qaeda resulting in the September 11th attacks after the attack on the USS Cole and the African embassy bombings would be an obvious understatement. Given that such horrific attacks occurred within the United States itself provided the highest sense of urgency of any threat to the United States eclipsing the entire Cold War and only possibly being reviled by the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, December, 1941, the President was charged with the awesome responsibility to use the full weight of American power to protect the safety of all Americans and their vital interests.

In this context having just been attacked and responsible for ensuring no future attacks, the President, his defense, legal, and intelligence experts had to act with the absolute highest sense of urgency to secure our country’s safety. The prevailing mindset of the administration was stop at nothing to get the job done. President Bush would dedicate his administration to quickly and forcefully getting the job done on all levels.

How can the integrity and judgment of President George W. Bush be so viciously assailed and even criminalized in the eyes of his critics in the media and Democratic party? Can anyone possibly argue that the President did not act in good faith and was not attempting to use his position to lead the nation’s efforts to protect every single one of us?

In hindsight, one can critic the effectiveness and validity of what the Bush administration accomplished; however, the attempts to vilify the President and his top officials for such agenda driven political considerations is simply contemptuous, unpatriotic, wicked, and blind.

Through the prism of hindsight always being 20/20, some aspects of the Bush administration’s response were off target; however, did anyone including some of the Democrats who are the most vocal critics of the President, have any reason to doubt, for instance, the intelligence about weapons of mass destruction that served as a major factor for going to war against Iraq? That intelligence was verified as valid from multiple sources from both American and international sources. The necessity of going to war in Iraq is certainly the most off target response the administration launched in the whole scenario, but make no mistake about it. The behavior of Saddam Hussein was extremely provocative and dangerous whether it was attacking US and British planes patrolling the “no fly” zone established by international treaties, the systematic torture and murder of Iraqi citizens, and the vicious brutalization and oppression of Kurdish and Shiite citizens in Iraq. Hussein’s overt and clandestine activities including specific materials procured were all consistent of following the steps toward building nuclear weapons. Hussein had already used chemical weapons against enemy factions within Iraq and against Iranians when the country was at war with Iran. Even if the weapons of mass destruction were not found as presumed, at what point does the world community intervene when a murderous dictator is committing so many vicious acts against humanity?

The interrogation of Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and other murderous Al Qaeda thugs is very different matter. Can anyone possibly deny that the intelligence obtained might very well have saved thousands of American lives? To that end, where does the pursuit of intelligence end for other concerns? What actions are too severe to not be considered with our lives as American citizens in the balance?

As the conduct of the Bush administration is considered with all factors on the table, the “enhanced” interrogation methods were not taken lightly, were not applied in an arbitrary and capricious manner, and were only carried out with the highest level approval with all methods carefully prescribed, supervised, and monitored including having medical professionals at hand during the process.

Over time, more documentation will become more widely distributed of other methods used to taunt captured terrorists into surrendering their knowledge of their operation. Of what has been published so far, none of the methods rise above bullying and rough housing, most of them are what could best be described as annoying the subjects into submission but torture?

The leftist position of defining torture when applied by a Republican administration appears to be anything from raising one’s voice or greater. In other words, anything those under President Bush’s direction that exceeded, “Hello Mr. Mohammed, sir. Could you please tell us if there is anything we might be interested in knowing about that could involve terrorists’ attacks?” Some might consider even that would be going too far as he should be read his rights first and given the opportunity to “lawyer up.” This of course ignores that matters of domestic law enforcement and the application of the Constitution applies to American citizens living within the United States. War is a totally different scenario as is the urgency of obtaining the best knowledge possible on the situation at hand.

We accept the debate on whether waterboarding is torture is legitimate. We also must make perfectly clear the extent to which the Bush administration involved all appropriate officials including Democrats on Capitol Hill on what methods were under consideration. There was no outcry or open attempts to contest the decisions President Bush pursued in late 2001 and throughout 2002 as these issues were red hot. Even some of the Pentagon’s and intelligence service’s greatest critics accepted the gravity of the situation at hand.

While there are legitimate values consideration at stake, the attempts to vilify President Bush and his administration’s efforts that were successful in keeping the United States and American targets overseas free of attack for the entire duration of his administration after 9/11 must be seen as crass, vicious, dishonest, political opportunism especially when figures like Nancy Pelosi were directly in contact with the most intimate intelligence as the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee grandstand with after the fact of measures they consented to when the issue was red hot.

The news media is doing a horrible job of providing context for all issues involved in performing “enhanced interrogation” and establishing what various officials’ stance was then and now. Once again, the media is failing miserably to do its job and is acting in a biased, partisan manner in support of the most extreme and vocal advocates of the political agenda they seek to advance.

One question that has been posed again and again in the so-called torture debate, “If the officials had detained someone who had raped or murdered you’re a member of your family or had knowledge of plans to harm more members of your family, what would you considered justified?” President Bush had to consider the fate of 300 million Americans. What is the moral imperative when he is charged as the elected leader and commander-in-chief to provide for those citizens’ safety and security. President Bush and no one else had the luxury of time to debate all the philosophical and moral values involved in an immediate, urgent situation with lives in the balance. To that end we applaud President Bush and damn his critics in the most powerful terms available.

The conduct of Nancy Pelosi among others is inauthentic, dishonest, self-serving, and dangerous. It borders on treason. These adversaries to our nation’s safety must be held accountable and cannot go unchallenged.
Who's looking out for us? What elected leaders are truly focused on those forces which threatened our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness? It's time for a wake up call, NOW!!!

Pussies: Obama's Policy on Radical Islamic Terrorism

Obama's National Security team hard at work.

Obama Administration Softens Key War on Terrorism Concepts

God help us in the war against Islamic Extremist sponsored terrorism with Barack Obama as “Commander in Chief” and “Chief Law Enforcement Officer.” His administration views the situation through the distorted vision of one false assumption after another. All of these minimize the threat our country faces and obscures the responsibilities required to maintain the nation’s security.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/03/13/AR2009031302371.html?nav=igoogle

First, Obama’s Director of National Security, Janet Napolitano made no mention of the war on terror in her introductory address speaking more of disaster and hurricane relief. She’s got part of the equation right. When the United States sustains another terrorist attack, it will be a disaster and the need for relief efforts could be tremendous. To make this more concrete, in court filings on how to deal with Guantanamo terrorist suspects filed today, March 13, 2009, the administration made no mention of “enemy combatant.”

The key issue where this distinction is vital is that the judiciary to determine whether the government’s detention of terror suspects is justified. The Obama administration indicates it will continue to detain those who “substantially supported” the Taliban, al-Qaeda or were involved with the 9/11 attacks. The Bush administration not only referred to these terror suspects as enemy combatants but they also contended that these Islamic terror detainees were “engaged in hostilities” a concept which is more behavior oriented, observable, and easier to document whereas “substantially supported” is a more nebulous concept.

Operationally, this distinction should be symbolic to reflect Obama’s kinder, gentler approach to dealing with criminal extremists pledged to kill us. However, symbols stand for something. The Obama administration is showing it does not accept the gravity of the situation as if they can talk nice and play let’s make up, that perhaps there are some “moderate” Taliban members who might be able to exert some pressure on the extremists. Translation: Obama believes that some members of a religious extremist cult turned into a terrorist and political entity pledged to fight to the death “jihad’ a war sanctioned by Allah to destroy us. What part of being part of a movement that clearly states not only would it kill us but we’ve already seen evidence of how it deals with its own people who behaved in any manner that does not comply with their murderous Islamic-Fascist exertion of power does the President see as more moderate and reasonable.

The intellectual stench of political correctness abounds in the Obama approach, that if we call something by a nice non-offensive term, it will just go away. Case in point, Liberals have eliminated the problem of “illegal aliens” by renaming them undocumented workers, they are now victims of our legal and economic system – yes victims, the sort that the Democratic Party dumps mountains of money in insane government programs to make them another Democratic voting block.

Obama is infatuated with the power of his verbal skills. If he says it, it is so. Time and again when providing support for his policies and initiatives, the modern Messiah finds no use to cite historical precedent, document the issue with clear dollars and cents specifics, employ logic, or show any kind or risk versus reward assessment. Instead, the man who would be savior frames his remarks, “I’ve always (chose your verb) said, believed, stated, argued, felt, insisted that my position is correct on this matter.” Barack Obama speaketh, it is so.

Question his logic and be prepared for the labels that will be applied. His opponents are bigoted, homophobic, greedy rich, out of touch, sexist…whatever… or if a specific label doesn’t fit the situation, his spokesmen have the catch all label for their opposition, that the Obama critic is more interested in supporting Rush Limbaugh who (gasp) affirmed he hopes Obama fails for the course Obama is on means America loses. This column believes the same thing, but we didn’t need to consult with el-Rushbo to reach our conclusions.

No amount of sophistry, no flowery rhetoric, no political persuasion, no creating false boogie men with sinister motivation can wash away the cold hard facts. Within Islamic society there is huge subculture that hates the United States and seeks our destruction. For some, it is engaging in radical terrorism. For others, it is providing financial support filtered through what appear to be mosque centered charities and madras’s, the religious centered training facilities which train and develop terrorist recruits. Wow broad and deep the extent of radicalism pervades Islamic culture is hard to determine as most countries in the Muslim world are governed by strict Islamic law, sharia, creating a closed society where open expression of dissent is forbidden and violently oppressed.

The deep seated hatred of the United States as the Great Satan, Israel, the broader western culture, and all things Judeo-Christian did not suddenly arise in response to American foreign policy and oil interests. Listening to the Obama-maniacs, one would get the impression that the 9/11 attackers were just a handful of lone-wolf maniacs, that the skepticism toward the United States only came as result of the Bush administration’s response. Do they not remember Bill Clinton launched a series of missile attacks against Iraq and al-Qaeda?

For practical purposes, the road to today’s conflict in the Middle East exploded with the 1967 Arab-Israeli War where Soviet backed Islamic nations surrounding Israel attacked the staunch U.S. ally, Israel. At the time, though diplomats spoke of “the third world” areas such as the Middle East that were neither allied with the West or the Soviet block. They had their own agenda. Israel rapidly defeated the Arab forces seizing territory along the Gaza strip, the West Bank, and much of northern Egypt east of the Nile including the Suez Canal. Anti-Western hostility broke out against Westerners in the Middle East including as one for instance, Esso (now Exxon-Mobil) workers and families in Tripoli as a military government under strong man, Muammar al-Gaddafi, seized power, fled for their lives as anti-American violence spread to the streets.

The first time the hard reality of Arab tension with the West should have become apparent was the conflict that began on October 6, 1973 when Syria and Egypt invaded Israel. Although the battle lines shaped up along traditional East/West rivalries, the Soviet Union supporting the Arab alliance and the United States supporting Israel, the Arab oil embargo demonstrated to every American our stake in the Middle East. Whether it was rapidly rising oil costs, gasoline lines, or the 55 mph national speed limit, the conflict affected Americans in their day-to-day life, but did the population truly sense how much our culture was at odds with the Islamic world?

The war ended, but fuel costs remained higher and the 55 mph speed limit remained in place. Perhaps some would see real progress in the Middle East as the Carter administration brought together Israeli Prime Minister Menachem and Anwar El-Sadat signing the Camp David accords which normalized relationships between the two countries and provided for the return of territory to Egypt.

Meanwhile, on the border of the Arab world, another faction of the Islamic world, the ancient land of Persia would become the new hot spot as the Shah of Iran’s iron grip on power was coming unraveled by a widespread revolt from the Iranian people. With no support from the United States, the Shah’s government fell, and out of the chaos that brought to power the forces of the Islamic revolution. Ayatollah Khomeini was freed from exile in Paris, and the course of America’s conflict with radical Islam became a major factor in American foreign policy.

On November 4, 1979, radical “students” seized the U.S. embassy in Tehran holding the American diplomats and their dependents hostage. They would remain hostage until January 20, 1981 the day Ronald Reagan was inaugurated President. The hostage crisis not only showed the weakness of Jimmy Carter’s grip on foreign affairs but put the conflict between the U.S. and the spirit of radical Islam in clear focus.

As the Soviet’s influence faded during Ronald Reagan’s administration, the true enemy of the United States was the hatred directed toward the republic by the Islamic world despite the factions within that world that were at conflict with each other. Iran and Iraq fought a brutal war during this time, but try to pick a desirable winner in that conflict. The cost to the United States became more apparent as violence spread to the once peaceful eastern Mediterranean oasis of Lebanon. Beirut was burning and the US Marines were right in the middle. On April 18, 1983, Arab terrorists bombed the US embassy. Later that year, October 23, suicide truck bombers attacked Marines stationed at the Beirut International Airport killing 241 Americans, the highest one day death toll since 243 servicemen died in the Tet offensive in Vietnam. Suddenly, the concept of Jihad would become a part of the news savvy American while the public at large remained largely ignorant and indifferent.

While the world rejoiced the fall of world communism in the late 1980’s, the hatred of the United States and power of Islamic extremism was multiplying like an out of control epidemic.

The decade of the 90’s brought a new flashpoint, Kuwait, a wealthy Arab oil kingdom, fell to Saddam Hussein’s invasion. The Iraqi forces went on a vicious campaign of rape, torture, and murder threatening the steady flow of the world’s oil supply. President George H.W. Bush pulled together a massive coalition that drove the Iraqi invaders out of Kuwait in a highly successful Desert Storm operation.

While the 1990’s provided a sense of “all-is-well” as the United States no longer had to contend with the Cold War and domestic tranquility reached a time of unprecedented luxury and success for the American population, the desire to destroy “The Great Satan” continued to grow as terrorists groups and shadow movements gained power and influence looking for the opportunity to strike.

Could the embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania on August 7, 1999 sponsored by Osama Bin Ladin make things any clearer? The United States was under attack. Since there was no clear nation-state to blame, the Clinton administration’s response was ineffective and weak. As the 2000 Presidential election approached, on October 12, 2000, the USS Cole docked in the port of Aden, in the Arab state of Yemen, was attacked by Al Qaeda terrorists ripping a 40-by-60 hole in the ship’s port side, killing 17 US sailors.

Is the American public paying attention yet?

On September 11, 2001, life was calm on the east coast of the United States. The heat of summer had retreated. The weather was warm, the sky blue. All seemed well. But on that Tuesday morning as Americans settled into work as summer vacations were over, came the moment of reckoning one would think no American would ever push aside.

How soon we forget? The memory of Saddam Hussein seems a distant memory and ol’ Dubya is roundly criticized for liberating a nation from the tyranny of a blood thirsty tyrant and his sadistic sons. Thankfully, the surge has left Iraq to a point where not even Barack Obama can ruin things now.

Still, there is much unfinished business in Afghanistan. There are few establishments or infrastructure on which to build a modern society. Does our population remember or care the way women were treated forced to walk around in what amounted to little more than burlap bags completely covering and demeaning them from head-to-toe? As long as Islamic culture institutionalizes the abuse against women and thumbs its nose at human rights, there can never be total peace with the west.

Almost everywhere where Islamic culture is concentrated is a possible breeding ground for terrorism whether it is in the most extreme nations, ethnic neighborhoods in Europe, or even in small congregations in the United States. How violent seemingly assimilated Islamic men can behave should be fresh on all citizens’ minds if the news media had done its job with the brutal beheading death of a Buffalo, New York television producer’s beheading of his lovely wife.

While our economic interests require intercourse with the world of Islam we can never let our culture appear to condone their evil behavior in any respect. Our foreign policy must demand justice and support for the human rights of all citizens regardless of how friendly our relations appear at the highest level. Sadly, our government’s willingness to go into extreme debt where enemies of the most basic human freedoms such as Saudi Arabia and Red China are prime investors and with their being stake holders in our finances thus comes influence.

The United States must stand firm and unflinching in its support for freedom and resolve to eliminate all forms of terrorism regardless of origin whether it is in the hands of Islamic radicals or drug lords in Mexico. Softening our stand accomplishes nothing. The world of our Arab adversaries possesses patience and resolve our Western ways leave us too soft to fully comprehend. What we lack in those areas must be countered with overwhelming unmistakable might and the clear understanding we will use it with determination to see our mission through to completion.

The Obama administration clearly does not understand the mission or perhaps even understand we are on one. They do not understand that regardless of our political complexion, we did not choose to go to war against the Islamic world, they declared jihad against us. Let’s not let the pussies in the intellectual and journalistic world kid us. Jihad is not a program of self-improvement. When we are the object of jihad, no one intends to improve himself or us. Yes, the death of radical Islamists is a good thing, but they have a terrible habit of taking innocent people with whom they disagree, the objects of their jihad with them.

Obama’s sycophants fail to understand that if we gain a little bit of accommodation by talking pretty to the forces of evil, it might gain brief calm in some areas, but they’ll wait us out. The softer and less aware we are of their treachery, the easier it is for forces such as those at Bin Ladin’s command to make their strike.

Everything seemed so calm and beautiful at 8:00 am on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. One hour later, the whole world would change forever. Who could imagine weapons as simple as box cutters could accomplish such harm?

The pussy presidency is upon us. Unlike what the media fan club that still cannot accept what a miserable failure the President they helped installed truly is, everyday that goes by and the failures of Obama-nation pile up, fewer and fewer Americans will see the hip President as the cat’s meow.

Only in the World of Islam

Today's Report of German Kidnapping Spurs Reflection on Broader Concerns
The Islamic World -- The Pursuit of a False Prophet and a Religion of Hate
Honor Killings -- Terrorism Turned Against the Female Family Member

Indoctrination begins at a young age.

The beautiful Said sisters murdered by their father for being too American.

Today's news reports of German woman of Turkish origins being kidnapped for exiting a prearranged marriage. At the dawn of the new year, two beautiful teenaged sisters in Dallas were murdered by their father for being good all-American girls. In Islamic society, a tradition persists of fathers, brothers, and husbands killing daughters, sisters, and wives for conduct they deem as shameful as it violates their concept of Islamic customs and law. In some Islamic countries, the practice is not illegal. Meanwhile, as members of Islamic society immigrate into Western Europe, Canada, and the United States, such Satanic rituals are arising in alarming numbers in the West.

When it comes to this kind of evil retribution, have we ever heard of a Christian doing something like this because a daughter wanted to marry a Jew? Have we ever heard of a Jew behaving like this because a girl wanted to marry a Catholic? Have we ever heard of a Christian or Jew act like this if one of their young ladies wanted to marry an atheist? Do Buddhists act like this? Do Taoists act like this?

Only in the Islamic world does this seem possible and given the extent to which journalists and the whole politically correct secular world bends over backwards not to vilify the Moslem religion, it's hard to call this selective reporting. This is the religion that tolerates honor killing and subverts women's freedom to practically the level of slavery. Witness what happens to women who appear in public without their men or make any social contact with members of the opposite sex.

Here's an episode from Germany, just a kidnapping. JUST A KIDNAPPING!!!

http://www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_story/0,3566,411623,00.html

Let us pray that this unfortunate German woman of Turkish descent is freed and able to live the life she has chosen to live as a free citizen in a Western Democracy. The Said sisters, Amina and Sarah weren't so lucky. They were two beautiful teenaged girls living in Dallas. They were popular, did well in school, and by all accounts were two absolutely lovely, well-adjusted girls. Their complexion was a little darker revealing their Arabic heritage, but that was the only external sign that made them any different than if their names were Carol and Buffy Jones.

Their father, Yaser Abdel Said, a Dallas area cab driver, picked up his daughters and with one of the girls frantically calling 911 for rescue, the screams of the dying girls being brutally murdered by their wicked evil Moslem father were recorded for the world to hear. Amazingly, this case received so little coverage when one considers the day-to-day constant coverage the disappearance of Kaylee Anthony, the infant daughter of the crazed party girl and her neurotic lying grandmother has gotten all over cable news. Why wasn't the news posting pictures all over the place and giving this case massive coverage? Mr. Said slipped away somehow. He committed the murder not far from the Dallas airport. Go figure.

Meanwhile, back in Germany, back on January 16, 2006, The Boston Globe reported of the murder of 23-year-old Hatun Surucu, another Turkish immigrant who was forced to wed her cousin while still a young teenager. She escaped her husband and fled to Germany with her infant son. She was gunned down two blocks from her apartment. Two of her five brothers were charged with her murder.

German authorities indicated there were at least five honor killings in 2005 alone and 47 in recent years across Germany up to that point. The article went on to indicate that 18 out of 22 domestic homicides in Great Britain during 2005 were shown to be ''murder in the name of so-called 'honor."

On July 11, 2008, The Atlanta Journal Constitution reported the case of Pakistani native, Chaudhry Rashid, 56, was charged of murdering his daughter, Sandeela Kanwal 25, another case of a Moslem woman trying to free herself from an arranged marriage. Here's the information as printed by the news source:

A Pakistani immigrant who strangled his daughter because she wanted to end her arranged marriage did it because she "would disgrace the family," according to an arrest warrant.

Chaudhry Rashid, 56, of Jonesboro, told police he is Muslim and that extramarital affairs and divorce are against his religion. That's why he killed her, the Clayton County arrest warrant says.

In court this week Rashid said, "I have done nothing wrong."

The article went on to discuss the honor killing phenomenon indicating that the 2000 United Nations Population Fund report indicated approximately 5,000 women are murdered each year in honor related rituals.

Recently, The Boston Globe again provided more insight into this dreadful form of family terrorism. The following column provides more specific instances and analysis of this brutal, wicked, product of a depraved subculture of Islam, a religion that provides death to be the appropriate punishment for any follower of Islam who chooses to stop practicing the religion.

http://www.boston.com/bostonglobe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2008/08/10/honor_killing_comes_to_the_us/

Does it seem like it's well past due for spiritual leaders of the great religions to identify the polygamous warrior, Mohamed, a false prophet? Likewise, in the eyes of world history shouldn't Mohamed be seen more like Caligula, Attila the Hun, Genghis Khan, Tamerlane, Hitler, Stalin, and Mao, a purveyor of evil and hatred? Some killed for sport. Some cloaked themselves in higher principles, but the results were the same, genocide, oppression, and tyranny.

Most Moslems are just ordinary people who happened to be born in the wrong part of the world. How wonderful it would be if liberating messages, words of hope and freedom could make it past the sword. Missionaries from around the world know the penalty for practicing their trade in the Islamic world -- torture and death. With the information age taking hold, perhaps the electronic revolution will be too much for the evil Islamic governments that impose Sharia on all their citizens to maintain their censorship and oppression of more humane values.

To be a woman, a homosexual, a non believer, or any kind of free thinker even within the strict provisions of Islam is to live dangerously. Express yourself, YOU DIE!

Judaism is a religion of tolerance and morality. Christianity is a faith of compassion and redemption. Buddhism in its many forms celebrates the freedom of the human spirit. What is Islam all about? Submit or die? The etymology of moslem literally means one who submits.

Cold War Rhetoric from Putin's Puppet

COLD WAR??

President Bush condemned Russia's "irresponsible decision" for their recognition of two Georgian territories as independent entitities, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Dmitry Medvedev announced that Russia is granting these territories full diplomatic status. All this while Medvedev all but announced a new Cold War is underway.

While Russia breaks one agreement after another in leaving Georgia and attempting to dictate their own terms for doing so, the following remark by Russia's president adds a new terrifying perspective:

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev:
"We are not afraid of anything, including the prospect of a new Cold War," .... "But we don't want it and in this situation everything depends on the position of our partners." quoted by ITAR - Tass news agency, Tuesday, August 26, 2008.

There are no silver linings to be found in Russia's recent behavior. For a country with its vast natural resources which transfer into instant wealth in the world market place, their attempts to bully the West when they could just be raking in our dollars by a little bit of competitive free enterprise are absolutely insane!!!

Russia never learned some crucial lessons with the fall of the Soviet Union, that free enterprise, open markets, and individual initiative are the building blocks of a powerful society. Power hungry bullies helped destroy the Soviet Union. They will not guide Russia on the path of re-emergence as a premier world power.

For western political and economic leaders to minimize the bellicose behavior in Moscow right now would be a serious mistake. Eastern Europe is enjoying a remarkable renaissance fueled by freedom and innovation. So much potential for great things lie ahead for the Ukraine and Georgia if the Russian bear can be contained. The corrupt powerful few run Russia right down to micromanaging the economy. Their own experience under Soviet Communism should have taught them their lesson.

Today, the puppet speaks. What happens tomorrow? If you're not scared, you're not paying attention.

How Does a Regular American Make Sense of the Issues Through Mass Media Goggles

We live in very complicated and dangerous times. Never before has the average citizen had so many issues to stay on top of, and while the sources of information are broader than ever, the challenge to get good reputable material to stay informed, guide decision making, and to be an effective voter is confusing and frustrating. In the following article, we’ll discuss the challenge and analyze the information sources.

How does a voter chose a candidate and identify with a political party? One would hope that every voter has a certain knowledge base of the political system, the function of the various branches of government: federal, state, and local. From there, every citizen should be aware of what issues affects his or her day-to-day life but also has some sense of the more global issues that influence society’s overall well-being. From there, one should assess each candidate’s stance on these concerns and have some perspective on their ability and experience to deal with such issues. None of these factors matter unless the voter has some core values to guide the selection process. Some voters don’t make the connection between their moral values and ethics and approach elections from at best a pragmatic standpoint, examines the candidates’ responses and determines which one has the best grasp on that voter’s concerns. Others have a clearly defined notion of the function of government, a coherent political philosophy of what the roll of government is. Those voters weigh the issues against their political orientation, determine what the government’s role is one solving those issues, and determines which candidates and what party is most consistently meeting their values system. From there, other factors must be examined, the candidate’s experience, voting record, and accomplishments.

Wouldn’t it be nice if most voters put that much effort into determining their votes? Sadly, even the best intentioned voters have a difficult time getting accurate information on what the state of various issues of concern might be then being able to get a good read on the particular candidate’s capabilities is even tougher. First, look at the voters’ sources of information:
-
The Media
-
1. Local news broadcasts: usually television – not all cities particularly smaller markets have radio stations with a fully staffed news operation. Additionally, local outlets are challenged by short-sighted competition for ratings which determine the ability to charge for the all-important advertising dollar. Though many local news operations are clearly biased, what’s more obvious is the extent to which gimmicks and sensationalism are employed to draw viewers. There’s nothing like a big warehouse fire to make a dramatic lead story on the 11:00 news. Most stories consist of short segments with at best 20 second sound bytes. Stories on the local economy are less likely to look at the bigger issues but instead some big haired blond reporter will ask the typical touchy-feely, “How does it feel?” question to some recently laid-off factory worker. The issue behind the plant closure is never intelligently revealed. When elections roll around, at best gubernatorial, senatorial, and big city mayoral races get coverage. If something really hot is going on perhaps an occasional congressional or county administrator contest gets coverage. Seldom are these races given much articulation. Can anyone explain to us why at least in the mid-Atlantic area almost all weekday evening newscasts consist of a white female blond anchor often spotting very obvious plastic surgery sitting opposite some African American fellow who can run the gamut from a hip jive-talking hip-hop hotdog to a stately professorial gentleman? Naturally, there’s a never ending escalation for which station has the hottest new technology gimmicks for weather forecasting and bigger cities compete for which station has the biggest, fastest, noisiest helicopter to catch all those police chases on the freeways.

2. Local newspapers: YEOW, what a mess!!! Many cities have only one paper. With declining readership and out of town ownership, the quality of local and state coverage is lacking. Additionally, some of the most ideologically biased news sources are in the print media. Most of them are radically left such as the New York Times. The most usual function of local newspapers is pages and pages of advertising for the department store anchors at the local malls. Many find them useful for lining bird and gerbil cages or toilet training their dogs.

3. Nightly Network News: How much serious news can be covered in 30 minutes, 20 minutes deducting out advertising. National newscasts aren’t quite as gimmick oriented as their local counterparts, but their approach is highly formulaic. NBC has moved to the far left where any pretense of objectivity is a joke. Can anyone watch David Gregory in action and not see a clear bias against Republicans? Their bias is not as conspicuous as their cable counterpart, MSNBC, but they are the same operation, the same editorial control, and the same support staff. CBS and ABC both lean substantially to the left, but ABC in particular will run some superbly objective stories. CBS is floundering largely because its bias became no longer transparent as Dan Rather’s dishonest reportage on President Bush’s National Guard service was false and contrived. Bob Schieffer is a solid veteran, help restore credibility. Alas, the Katy Couric experiment appears to be a horrible failure, but give K.T. credit for trying for her aggressive cross examination of Barrack Obama regarding his stand on the Iraqi surge.

4. Cable News: Cable news provides a chance to air out stories and more fully develop the content. Unfortunately, there is also plenty of time to waste time on fluff. Currently, the saga of missing child Caylee Anthony is slotted as the second or third most important story during each news cycle. It’s a sad and horrible story to be sure, but it is a story of little importance to the viewer’s day-to-day life. The only benefit of saturation coverage of missing children is that hopefully the media can create a public awareness that would help authorities find such a child, but in this case, it’s almost certain that the child’s mother murdered her child while the grandparents stand before the media lying their asses off to confuse the media and defend their spoiled brat of a poor excuse for a daughter. Coverage on this story has gone on for several weeks now. The viewing audience knows little more about the story than when it first broke. Yet on Fox news, and it appears much attention on CNN and MSNBC too, this story is right up there with the Presidential race, Congressional inaction on energy legislation, the Soviet invasion of Georgia, and other far reaching stories. There’s nothing wrong with cable news stations having their “crime stoppers’ programs and some incidental coverage of these kinds of stories but think of all the time spent on the Natalie Holloway/Aruba story where it dominated news coverage for months, the Lacy Peterson murder and trial of husband, Scott, and other such stories, to what end?

The bias and selectivity of coverage varies substantially between CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC. CNN’s editorial view grew out of Ted Turner’s vision. Turner is a committed “globalist” looking at the news from a hypothetical “world” perspective which is basically a euro-centric, socialistic, hooray for the United Nations approach. Their bias favors the Greenpeace kind of environmentalism, a strong respect for human rights, a commitment to diversity and multiculturalism, and a negative stance toward large American and international corporations and industries.

Fox News runs under the mottos of “we report, you decide” and “fair and balanced.” On general news reporting there is not much difference between Fox and the other two cable networks. Where they differ dramatically is on political stories and the role analysts play in their coverage. Fox provides counterpoint coverage reflecting an assortment of divergent views on a wide array of topics. Where CNN has established that global warming is an established truth and endorses the Al Gore kind of perspective, Fox will give full reign to presenting scientists who have other perspectives on the subject. From there, they’ll generally have some commentators reflecting different points of view on the issue debate the subject. While Fox has been labeled as a conservative network, in truth, they are rather neutral although their commentary programs do tilt to the right. Fox Business VP, Neil Cavuto is moderately conservative, a true free market though socially responsible economist. His conservatism is not doctrinaire as he frequently takes different stances on some issues. Fox heavyweight, Bill O’Reilly is much more anti-Liberal than he is united with any particular Conservative school of thought. O’Reilly crusades against “secular progressives” while advocating traditional values. There is a distinctly populist “for the folks” undercurrent to his commentary. Sean Hannity is the one true consistent conservative, the kind that bristles MoveOn.org Kool Aid drinkers into a frenzy; however, five nights a week, he is countered by the mild mannered, good hearted, but terminally confused Liberal, Alan Colmes. Whether by design or just the strength of their arguments, Hannity clearly dominates Colmes as the most cogent figure. Greta VanSusteran is hard to pin down politically. Her roots are Maryland style liberalism, but she’s a pretty free thinker. Finally, there’s Geraldo Rivera who is pretty much more about Geraldo than any particular point of view. Geraldo is a hawk on defense, an extreme leftist on illegal immigration, and all over the place on the issues though added up, his outlook is mostly traditional not radical new left Liberalism.

Which brings us to the bottom feeders, MSNBC’s editorial orientation is both cynical and ideologically left wing. Their prime commentators, Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews represent different aspects of the committed extreme left culture. Olbermann is psychotic and delusional having little intellectual grasp on his material. The once hip and entertaining sports anchor on ESPN is totally lost in the land of real issues. His stance on issues is predictably whatever has the Daily KOS, Huffington Post, and MoveOn.org enraged at any point. Approaching each topic on a level that would get him blown out the door in even a mediocre novice high school debate (it’s questionable whether his knowledge base of the functions of government might not even pass a middle school basic skills test), Olbermann develops his topics in start black and white terms generally focusing on the perceived villain who he attempts to deride with slightly sanitized potty language. The key segment of each broadcast is his “Worst Person in the World” complete with Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor” playing in the background. On any typical night, the subjects of the big O, as in zero, are Fox News personalities, prominent Republicans, or anyone who dares to step off the Hollywood plantation. He’ll attempt to draw sound bytes, out of context, and fully misinterpreted. Does NBC believe that Olbermann has the personality, the following, and the gravitas to get away with such drivel? Hardly. Chris Mathews is an old school Liberal, mainstream Democrat who once worked for Tip O’Neil, with a voice that only rivals cheapo TV ad pitchman, Billy Mays, and a malfunctioning fire house siren, is transitioning more and more to being a shill for the radical MoveOn/KOS point of view. O’Neil worships the ground Barrack Obama walks on in his starry eyed reveling over Obama’s speech on race when he finally attempted to rescue his reputation from the Jeremiah Wright scandal glowing that it was the kind of speech every student in every school should study and will be remembered for generations. Meanwhile, NBC positioned him in the anchor not the analyst chair during the debates.

5. The Internet: The final source of news is the on-line domain. Much can be learned by checking news sources from around the country and the world and what’s developed in blogs. Naturally, there is no quality assurance as to the accuracy of any blogger’s content, but then what is there really for conventional media. Still, there’s some really weird stuff going on out in blog nation. Rest assured if you stay posted with Right Minded Fellow, you will get reportage that is factually accurate to the fullest extent your humble blogger can provide coupled with thoughtful analysis, and opinion which attempts to provide a degree of enthusiasm for the good and contempt and outrage for the bad. This little stop in cyberspace will never be crippled by trying to put information through a political correctness strainer. Language choices and attitude are adjusted to reach the broadest base of normal Americans who are trying to make sense out of a rapidly changing world and absolutely corrupt news media.

The Big Issues Approaching the November Election:

1. The Volatile Situation in the Middle East and Islamic World

a) Iraq: Our troops are executing the final campaigns to transition Iraq into a free standing and independent nation. The exit strategy should start to evolve realizing that artificial time-lines and hasty withdrawals could plunge the whole region into all out warfare.
**
b) Iran: The Islamic Republic and its frontman Ahmadinejad represent possibly the greatest danger in the world. As they bob and deceive to thwart efforts to block their nuclear weapon develop they continue to man, supply, and advise terrorists groups around the world most notably Hezbollah’s efforts to destroy Israel. Given Ahmadinejad’s constant threats to obliterate the Zionist state and threats directed at the USA, who are we to doubt him.
**
c) Afghanistan: The Taliban and their thugs-in-arms Al Qaeda are on the move stirring up chaos nationwide but causing the most trouble in the southeastern territories close to the Pakistani border. The Allies have not been effective thwarting this insurrection. Things must turn around immediately.
**
d) Pakistan: Their inability to control their mountainous territory home turn for Bin Ladin and boys and seeming ineffectiveness to help fight terrorism in general creates both a strategic and political danger. Political instability and ferocious factionalism is always worrisome when dealing with the only Islamic nation with the bomb.
**
e)World Wide Islamic Influence: Through out the world where Moslem populations are concentrated, tension is high where the slightest small event can spark riots and massive chaos as witnessed when a Danish cartoonist ran a series of satiric political cartoons poking fun at Mohammed. Meanwhile, Islamic communities attempt to gain acceptance of Sharia and Islamic honor killings are practiced even in the United States. The violence, intolerance, oppression of women, and disregard for human rights can never be excused for the sake of the apparent beliefs of a mean spirited religion. Moderate and peace loving Moslems, WHERE ARE YOU? SPEAK UP!!!

2. The Fuel Crisis. The ramifications of the dependence on foreign oil and need for a far reaching strategy to deal with a finite resource was clearly recognized in 1974 during the first Arab oil embargo. This problem was further driven home during a crisis mentality that developed after the Islamic radicals seized power in Iran in 1979 when gas prices rose to around $1.50 in a late 70’s economic world. Gas lines and rationing were common place. Soon the world oil market recovered. Prices dropped, and all attempts to strategically plan for possible interruptions or future supply issues vanished. Through out the 1980’s, 90’s, and 2000’s until very recently there have only been minor spikes in the cost of fuel largely around the time of the Iraq invasion of Kuwait and 9/11. Our society increasingly relied on imported oil with an economy that is based on an unlimited supply of cheap oil. At long last, our indecision and irrational irresponsibility has lead to its inevitable conclusion. How come nothing ever gets done until a crisis arises?

Regardless, as helpful it is to see fuel prices drop, we cannot allow the urgency of this situation subside.

The United States must establish the goal of total energy independence to where it can potentially have consistent surpluses of oil. Short term, all existing territory which can readily produce oil safely must be tapped. Power generation must be transitioned from fossil carbon based fuel to nuclear and other renewable sources. Alternative power sources must be rapidly developed and deployed. How many public facilities could produce enough solar electricity to power its basic electric needs for lighting, technology infrastructure, and office equipment? Heating and air conditioning might be more demanding. Renewable fuel sources must be explored but corn-based ethanol is a TERRIBLE solution. It’s only making corporate farmers filthy rich. This is an immediate and long range problem. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid feculent* reasoning cannot be tolerated. Excuses and pie-in-the-sky thinking will not do a damned thing. Yes, the future solutions in the Democratic solution MUST be pursued, but we need fuel now. We need our own fuel, now. Between the Middle Eastern sources where Saudi profits fund terrorists, to the crazy Joker-like rebellious conduct of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, and now the threat Russian Imperialism invading Georgia where a strategic pipe line provides vital fuel for Europe while Russia has already shown its willingness to use fuel as a political weapon. Inflate your tires while Obama inflates his vanity, but there are plenty of things every citizen can do to make minor contributions to the big problem. Don’t brush it off, DO IT.

3. Taxes: A tax increase on one is a tax increase on all. Though many more citizens do not pay income taxes, they are subject to sales taxes, licenses, tolls and fees. If the government is going to tax businesses, screw with capital gains, or pursue their get tough on “Big Oil” strategy, who’s ultimately going the pay the tax? Everybody who buys the product as business will pass on the cost of such taxes to be reflected in the cost of goods. A growing economy provides increased revenue for government coffers. The more business develops and creates better paying jobs, the more tax revenue streams into all levels of government. Raise taxes, EVERYBODY loses as the government is the least effective source of benefitting the economy. Only one dollar of every one hundred the government controls goes back into the general economy.

4. Government Spending: The voters nationwide must get on top of where their taxes are going and demand accountability and fiscal responsibility. Pork Barrel spending, earmarks, set-asides, and self-serving sneaky add-ons to the budget cannot be tolerated. Both parties share tremendous blame. Don’t pay any attention to one acting holier than thou compared to the other. Generally, the longer a representative has been on the hill, the more they have the ability to pig out.

5. Health Care: The current delivery system is a mess. However, is a Federal takeover the way to go? When Canadians can’t get routine MRI’s for instance, do we want that kind of system? Monopolistic practices and runaway prescription drug costs must be reigned in immediately.

6. Education: There are too many issues to discuss here. Voters need to assess is the government part of the solution or part of the problem. The quality of American public education has been in free fall for over thirty years. Monitor the influence of the Teachers Unions, federal, state, and local. They’re well funded and very deceptive in their PR campaigns. The unions are looking out for themselves gaining and retaining more and more dues paying members. They’ve consistently fought educational reforms like pay-for-performance, vouchers, and any effort to give parents greater choice for their children’s education including attempting to outlaw home schooling.

7. Immigration: Illegal immigration cannot be tolerated. Businesses who entice aliens to enter the country illegally and hire them must be severely prosecuted even if it means closing down some businesses and imprisoning their officials. The immigrants are not the villains but more the victims of this situation. The borders must effectively be managed as well as other points of entry. A fair immigration process must be established where a steady supply of good people who will be fine contributors to our society. America is a nation of immigrants. President Bush’s concept of a “Welcoming Society” should be the goal. A fair but firm process needs to be established to deal with illegal immigrants already here. They cannot and will not all be deported. Sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with higher levels of government must be severely punished. Cities enacting such policies should face impoundment of Federal funds and in some instances where local officials openly refuse to cooperate on specific cases should be prosecuted. RMF doesn’t like the idea of a physical wall across the southern boundary. Proper enforcement and immigration law should make such a wall unnecessary.

8. The Environment: While the issue of global warming is open for debate and is not the impending doom of all life that the Al Gore groupies insist, there are few measures designed to prevent global warming that aren’t sound environmental policies that should be addressed in a carefully planned, economically sound master plan. When environmental efforts reach a point of diminishing returns, careful risk/reward strategizing must be employed. Living in Maryland, it’s hard not to be aware that regardless of what efforts have been employed and where improvement has been noted, the Chesapeake Bay remains a severely threatened magnificent eco-system. Careful land use strategies must be employed where used land can be redeveloped and rural areas maintained. Watershed and forest management needs to be an interstate coordinated plan as one state’s effluence is another state’s pollution. Open space areas especially in suburban and urban areas should be evaluated for smart forestation efforts. Steams and coastlines must be carefully protected to prevent erosion and runoff intrusion and silt spilling into major waterways. Sound environmental policies must become a part of foreign policy and trade agreements. For the sake of cheap finished goods, America buys billions of dollars worth of Chinese products built in factories with limited regard for the environment powered by generating facilities are damaging the world’s ecosystem even fueling acid rain causing tremendous damage in Canada. The concept of “carbon credits” is a joke. Politicians who advocate such should be laughed out of office.

9. The Aging of America’s Population: If the baby boomer years are from 1947-1964, by 2029, the entire boomer generation will be over 65. Social Security and Medicare are only the opening issues to what the significance of this means. That this population can be driven into concentration camps for elderly often known as chronic care or skilled nursing facilities cannot be tolerated. Remember kids, SENIORS VOTE!!!

10. Russia: Russia has thrown itself squarely in the middle of foreign policy and national security with their imperialistic invasion of the emerging democracy of Georgia, one of America's most loyal allies in Iraq. The spooky similiarities to Hitler's march on the Sudatenlands cannot be ignored nor can the prospects of Vladimir Putin's desire to seek greater treasure. If the world allows Georgia to fall, what next, the Ukraine? How about the Balkans which have great ports on the Baltic Sea? It's been more than two generations since a major power has embarked on a massive march of Imperialistic conquest though the pursuits of Saddam Hussein should be foot-noted not knowing just how far his agression might have spread had the allies not driven him from Kuwait. Russia is not only a danger to its neighbors but can use its huge stash of natural resources, oil, natural gas, and minerals to play international economic blackmail to affect concessions for its evil desires. There is now no question that Vladimir Putin is one of the most evil and dangerous figures in the world. Over night, the adversaries of the west have doubled. It's no longer just radical Islam but the great Russian Bear has just shown its sharp teeth.

Yes, there's a lot to digest in this article, but somebody's got to reason with you. It is RMF's pleasure to do so.

Georgia Is STILL On My Mind

First, congratulations to the Georgia Women's Beach Volley Ball team for defeating the Russians. Moral victories are precious too.

John McCain has come out forcefully clearly discussing the gravity of the situation and distancing him to make sure the world knows, he is no rubber stamp for the Bush administration. President Bush set himself up for eternal ridicule when stating, "I looked the man in the eye. I found him to be very straightforward and trustworthy." McCain indicated he looked in Putin's eyes saw "KGB." John McCain spoke of Soviet agression and criticized them for their brutal invasion of a democratically elected government. On some issues, our leaders can leave no nuance, no ambiguity. Overthrowing democracies is one such issue. On top of that, the Georgians are truly good guys in our world being a valuable and loyal ally in our Iraq conflict. They also have a vital oil pipeline leading from Azerbaijan to the Black Sea, a valuable strategic resource for Western Europe's oil supply.

History has shown when the western allies or United States wavers or is perceived as weak, totalitarian regimes and terrorists are quick to test our resolve -- be it Neville Chamberlain for the United Kingdom knuckling under to Hitler in 1938 or Jimmy Carter's passive approach in the late 1970's, western weakness brings other worldly aggression. From Hitler's treachory first taking baby steps then stomping across Europe to where virtually the entire European continent was under NAZI oppression or the Soviet Union invading Afganistan and Islamic radicals deposing the government of US ally, the Shah of Iran and then taking our embassy workers hostage, tyrannts and terrorists jump into action when the West plays soft. Neville Chamberlain boasted they had achieved "peace in our time." Jimmy Carter spoke of America having not always acting honorable while promoting a soft naive crusade for human rights.

Putin is watching conditions in the west carefully as the big prize surely must be looking for the right timing to take a bigger prize, the Ukraine.

How does Barack Obama recently returning to the USA after speaking of numerous American misdeeds even suggesting our country condones or practices torture respond to Georgia? Obama and his spokespeople first accused John McCain of "shooting from the hip" as if there's something wrong with that. Further, he called for restraint on both sides creating a sense of shared responsibility for the current conflict. On the surface, Obama seemed forceful in speaking out on the situation; however, on closer examination we realize his grievance was that conflict itself existed not that Putin's Russia was engaged in agression.

This is no time for a pussy-hearted self-infatuated far leftist with a closet full of radical preachers and American hating radicals who automatically insist America is not only wrong on specific issues of foreign policy of the day but virtually everything that's wrong with the world today is a result of American economic, military, or political power.

Where was Russia when Burma was drowning. We know where we were.
