Patriotic Millionaire Nonsense

If some millionaires believe those having their level of wealth should be compelled to pay more taxes is absolute nonsense!  The implication is that millionaires and billionaires who do not want to fork over more of their money to the government thus are less that patriotic. That’s bullshit!

The bottom line in our society, money belongs to individual citizens who’ve earned it through wages, investments, and other legitimate pursuits. It’s not money that the elites of society have been empowered to decide how to allocate where they feel it is best put to use.

The dump on the rich, class warfare game that the Democratic Party is playing is a crass political ploy to develop resentment between an impressionable block of voters and those who are the real movers of our economy. The public is dumb enough to buy it.

The logic of the rich should support measures to pay more taxes is patriotic simply is not logical.  Where is their duty to speak up and demand the state seize more of their assets?

Being rich and patriotic can come in many forms.  For some, it’s contributing generously to agencies and causes in their community.  Go to many hospitals and see how many have suites or other parts of the facility are named for some wealthy benefactor who contributed significantly to upgrade the hospital.

For others, it’s supporting such institutions as art museums, parks, symphony orchestras and other gathering places which add to the quality of life in their locale.

There are numerous other causes, institutions, and people oriented programs that benefit tremendously from the VOLUNTARY contributions from those society considers wealthy.

Yet, do those with a lot of money have to do any of the above to be patriotic? Of course not. Their involvement in the economy creates and sustains jobs. Even the pursuit of luxuries many middle class people can’t afford such as lavish country clubs or corporate jets benefit the entire community. Country Clubs employ grounds men, custodians, waiters, bartenders, locker room attendants, golf professionals, caddies, and an administrative staff – all of whom earn a living from the recreation of the rich. Corporate jets provide jobs too. First, lots of jobs are involved in the manufacturing process and this industry still resides many in America. The planes need to be maintained and kept at an airport. Almost all have hired pilots. Jobs, jobs, jobs.

If folks resent the rich, it’s more a case they are passive aggressively admitting they’re losers. There is no class system with hard ceilings in the United States. A person who is willing to obtain an education (sometimes working to pay for that education and not depending on government loans or maybe even obtaining a scholarship financed by a wealthy person), show tremendous self-discipline and work like hell, can become very wealthy. Many of them find their road to riches starting small businesses. It doesn’t take much in expenses to make $250,000 a very humble family income if a good part of that income is dedicated to running a small business.

There is nothing to prevent Warren Buffett from donating huge chunks of his billions to the government. All he needs to do is determine how much and write a check. In the meantime, Buffett and his accountants work hard to make sure he receives every cent the law entitles him to keep within current tax laws. Even among the wealthiest of the wealthy, Warren Buffett is a very wealthy guy.

Our society will be the healthiest and ultimately the tax collections will receive the most money if the private sector economy is thriving. Confiscating wealth from those who best know how to generate it helps no one.

TAX DAY REALITY: Tax the Rich = IDIOT LOGIC

There is no justification for RAISING TAXES for higher income citizens that isn't at best way off target and at worst maliciously dishonest.
The idea that anyone is GIVING money to the rich is BULLSHIT!!!  Their income is money they earned. All citizens earned income belongs to them, those who earned it. It's not a stipend or grant from the government. The government has enacted laws granting the government the power to confiscate earnings -- that's what income tax is.

Since taxes are calculated as a percentage not a designated amount, the rich automatically pay more in taxes than those earning less, but the tax system is a graduated scale where the percentage the government takes increases at certain government determined levels. Currently, the government seeks to increase the percentage for family income over $250k or $200k for individuals.

Another lie is that the Republicans are currently actively pursuing to cut taxes further for the rich. They are attempting to keep taxes at their current rate enacted in 2002. Even if taxes were decreased on the wealthy, nobody is GIVING the rich anything.  They are simply being allowed to keep more of the money they legitimately earned.

As this date represents, all taxpayers are required to submit their tax return. For those who meet the criteria for tax deductions and itemize their taxes, they are required to provide documentation as requested in their 1040 instructions.

Claiming tax deductions is not TAKING money. That is BULLSHIT logic. The government has decided that there are some things people purchase or contract should be subtracted from the amount of income from which the government uses to calculate taxes. The term "taking" tax write-offs is inherently biased and dishonest. The suggestion that anyone is taking advantage of anything or anyone for claiming legal deductions is a lie. What is dishonest or unethical about people proving that they are allowed by law to keep more of the money they earned on the basis of what is permitted by the tax laws?

In the interest of true honesty, the government has created tax deductions and credits that are absolutely ridiculous. However, what is ridiculous is that congress enacted such write-offs. It is not ridiculous or selfish to claim deductions any more than it is to take a pile of coupons to the grocery store and taking "double value" when grocery stores allow such. Coupon clippers aren't ripping off their local supermarkets are they?

It is simply human nature for people to seek to protect that which is theirs and to want to keep as much of their earnings as possible. The citizens will consent to taxation if the tax system is perceived as fair and the benefits of how the government spends their tax revenue on obviously important services and infrastructure for the public good. When the tax system pits one segment of the population against the other, the system is corrupt and taxpayers will do all they can, sometimes even acting illegally to avoid their tax burden.

There is no question that the tax code and the pages and pages of tax deductions must be reviewed, simplified, and reduced. Where tax write-offs would be continued to exist, they should only remain if what the write-offs are granted for are so essential to the well being of the community or the cost of some expenditure is high enough for individuals that citizens would be harmed or their communities would be destabilized. Surely, the matter of something like tax credits or deductions for energy conservation is one instance where thoughtful debate is justified.

2011 is already more than 1/4 complete. Most people have not yet earned enough money in 2011 to pay their tax burden. This is wrong.

What the Democrats and their media echo chamber does not want to concede is that it would be to every one's benefit to let more people keep more of their income while at the same time not permitting more money being channeled into write off pursuits that aren't necessarily healthy expenditures. The less income earners spend productive time dealing with taxes and put more time into productivity, the better things are for ALL citizens. The more money earned, kept, and spent in the community benefits the entire community.

The American citizen should be angry about any suggestion he or she has a responsibility to help contribute to solving the national debt. The government created the debt through its own incompetence, lack of oversight, shallow political purposes, and lust for power. The government needs to clean up its own mess and every bit of the cleanup which helps the American people assume more responsibility for themselves and less dependent on the government the better off the whole society will be.

LOVE the Rich!!!!!

Enough of the bullshit. The tax the rich orgy is pure and simple greed and crass manipulation on the behalf of those who feel ENTITLED to the hard earned wages of other citizens.

The government created the national debt with their overspending and insane commitments. They are expecting those who are doing the most to keep the economy growing creating jobs and stability to bail them out and then turn around and call them greedy and avow they are not paying their "fair" share. What is fair about any of this?

The rhetoric of everyone should step forward and pay “their fair share” is pure NONSENSE. Even if “the rich” paid the same percentage of their wages as what the left-wing robbers call “working people” as if those who are better off don’t work, they’d pay a much huger share of the taxes. If $50,000 a year were typical wages, if withholdings were 20% person would pay $10,000 before deductions. Conversely at a flat 20%, someone earning $1,000,000 would pay $200,000. Obama’s plan would charge them $380,000 a year. Mr. Mean Greedy Rich Guy is paying more than seven times than what the “working” people make a year.

To suggest that accepting higher taxes would be “patriotic” is absurd. To suggest wealthy who obey the law and pay the taxes required of them are greedy is a LIE.

Is it not PATRIOTIC to stand up to a government that is out of control, seizing the citizens' earned finances and spending it with out any responsible discipline?

Those who require the least amount of support from the government are expected to say the most. How is that fair?

Pay your taxes to the government, and that money is GONE. For every dollar taken in via taxes, how much of that dollar goes to paying for health care or defense/ how much of it is wasted on government overhead? How much of it pays the national debt?

Through all of the left-wing, big government's rationale is a clear inference that is truly the BIG LIE in their logic. They suggest that most of the government's shortage of funds would never have become a problem if only "the rich' paid their fair share. They act as if the Bush administration's tax cuts are the main contributor to the budget shortfalls. All this is garbage.

They talk as if the money is theirs to begin with. They set up all kinds of false equations between the lack of money for those they  consider the needy and those with wealth "taking" too much. We are beat over the head constantly with rhetoric about how "they" are letting babies die, children being poised, elderly being starved, and disabled dumped out of their wheelchairs. Who's paying the lion's share of taxes? Who pays higher pereentages of their income?  The politics of class warfare is the basic assumption behind Marxism and all socialism. There is no cloaking they support the Marxist maxim, "From each according to his ability; to each according to their need."

Who is the government to determine that those who have worked hard and earned their money to have to surrender even more?

We repeat what responsible conservatives say time and time again, our government does not have a revenue problem; it has a spending problem! We demand that the government work to eliminate duplicated efforts, waste, inefficiency, unnecessary programs, benefits and salaries above and beyond what comparable workers in the private sector would earn, and cut out all the baloney. Work out not only a reasonable budget for the next fiscal year but show there is a plan in place for the next decade or longer. Share those numbers with the public, and then we can talk about whose burden it is to pay for what the government does. If the government is engaged in spending money for things that get no results, we owe the government nothing. They owe us more than just another empty explanation.

There’s a group called “Patriotic Millionaires for Fiscal Strength.” Their slogan is, “We should pay more. We want to pay more.”

They write the following plea:

DEAR MR. PRESIDENT, HON. HARRY REID, AND HON. JOHN BOENHER:

We are writing to urge you to put our country ahead of politics.

For the fiscal health of our nation and the well-being of our fellow citizens, we ask that you increase taxes on incomes over $1,000,000.

We make this request as loyal citizens who now or in the past earned an income of $1,000,000 per year or more.

Our country faces a choice – we can pay our debts and build for the future, or we can shirk our financial responsibilities and cripple our nation’s potential.

Our country has been good to us. It provided a foundation through which we could succeed. Now, we want to do our part to keep that foundation strong so that others can succeed as we have.

Please do the right thing for our country. Raise our taxes.

Thank you,

(Signed by over 80 “patriotic” millionaires)

Okay, first let’s finish our natural gagging response to such sanctimonious bullshit. If they are speaking for themselves, that’s fine. They can give as much money as they like to the government. We’d be interested in seeing how much they give charity right now knowing that most of them deliver more good per dollar than the government ever will. If they want some kind of proclamation to “compel” them to pay, okay maybe something can be arranged. However, how dare they speak for other millionaires.

Whatever amount of money they think they should pay might be very valuable money to another millionaire. Perhaps one is contemplating adding staff to his business. Maybe another millionaire is about to build an addition to his office which would provide money to a local building contractor. Perhaps another “rich” person might be getting ready to write a check to pay for scholarships at a local school, assist a community hospital or private school, or support a local program for battered women. Every cent so spent or donated would generate far more public good than waste than if spent in taxes.

Okay, let’s be real, some of them might be planning to go on a lavish vacation. If that vacation is within the United States, that’s money supporting airlines, hotels, restaurants, and all the people who work for them. What if they chose to join country clubs – country clubs provide jobs and run very efficiently. What isn’t spent on the upkeep of the facility itself goes almost exclusively for wages. They’re not in business to make a profit.

If those guilty rich simply save their money or put it in the market, that’s money increasing the value of what could later be loans for new houses, supporting pension funds, and plenty of other good purposes.

Folks don’t become millionaires by sitting around doing nothing. The vast majority get there by working very hard doing exceptional work for which they are rewarded with a substantial income. They didn’t just graduate from high school and become instantly rich. They provide ideas and do work that provides substantial value. Look at Bill Gates and how he became the wealthiest man in the world. Consider a fellow working as a stock boy in a grocery store, sold his motorcycle to buy a quality electric typewriter and a small pickup truck to start his own business which grew to be the top business of its kind in its region providing jobs for over twenty people. This is a real story. Ask an entrepreneur on the rise and listen to him tell what his fights are tangling with government regulation.

Folks who have contempt for millionaire are losers, ungrateful bastards, slackers, unrealistic uninformed rubes, and absolute fools. Let’s set the record straight and be realistic about what our money world is all about.

If it’s a matter of people paying their fair share, the rich should enjoy a huge tax DECREASE.

Tax Policy and the Language of Theft

We’ve heard the talking points again and again about the intention to raise taxes for the rich by at best only selectively continuing the tax rates established under the Bush administration which provided sweeping tax cuts across the board. Sadly, due to Democratic pressure, the new tax rates were not made permanent and will expire on December 31, 2010 if no action is taken to extend them.

Let’s make something clear, there is no proposal being circulated that legitimately reduces income taxes. The truth is taxes will go up if no action is taken. The only buzz by the leaders of the Democratic Party is that they would continue the current tax rate for Americans making less than $250,000 for married couples or $200,000 for individuals.

The talk of wanting to pass a “middle class” tax cut is pure nonsense. Keeping taxes from automatically going up is not a tax cut when folks have been paying the current rate for almost a decade. They also speak of millionaires would receive $100,000 in tax cuts a year if the Bush tax cuts are extended. Bloody lies!!!

If the Democrat’s plan goes through, they will pay around $100,000 more in taxes. They make it sound like all of a sudden, to so-called rich would get this brand new tax break.

What is painfully clear, the only way the Democrats as urged by Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi can pull off their treachery is to obscure the issues and create mass confusion pitting average wage earners against those making more. When one digs deeper and finds how many of the so-called rich are small business owners and such taxes go directly to hurting their companies’ bottom lines. The widespread results of this tax increase hurts everybody.

On top of that, many citizens could have a year in which their income spikes way up due things such as a property sale which would have already been subjected to capital gains taxes or other one time good income years where they would get nailed by the Democrats’ approach.

Time To Be REAL ANGRY!!!

Today is our annual day of infamy, April 15, “tax day,” the day on which Federal taxes are due and often state taxes as well. The exercise in preparing one’s tax return becomes increasingly futile as there are more and more technicalities, write-offs for the politically well-connected special interests, and tons and tons of little gotchas that can result in all kinds of hell if a person makes a mistake on the paperwork.

We still have a ways to go before the date on the calendar when we exceed the number of working days it takes to pay our taxes and we start working for ourselves. That date will surely get later and later as taxes go up and the government becomes more disconnected.

The origins of our Republic in fact began largely through violent protest about excessive taxation the government of Great Britain forced upon the colonists. The Boston Tea Party was the beginning of what would lead to all out revolution.

Thousands will gather tomorrow in Washington and at other locations to send our leaders who simply don’t appreciate what their responsibilities are and fail to understand they are wasting our money – not theirs.

Many of us support the new Tea Party movement dedicated to speaking out against big government, huge deficits, and the government assuming an ever greater roll in our day-to-day lives. If this movement is not successful, then why are those committed to big government: the Democratic Party, labor unions, the news media and special interests who leech upon society worked up in such a frenzy against the Tea Party?

They have sent out calls of desperation to their loyalists to attempt to infiltrate Tea Party demonstrations to disrupt and misrepresent them attempting to discredit regular Americans exercising their constitutional rights to protest wrongs they perceive directed against them.

You can bet your bottom dollar if someone yells, “Nigger,” at a black person, it’s probably some activist goon squad member trying to attract negative press at the movement. We’ve already reported the case of www.crashtheteaparty.org. To engage in such treachery against one’s fellow citizens shows just how immoral and depraved today’s left wing activists, the backbone of Barack Obama’s and Nancy Pelosi’s support truly are.

The battle lines are drawn. The time to fight back is now. What benefit are you or your community getting for the thousands of dollars you’re shelling out to the government?

Is There Any Doubt Taxes for All Will Go Up?

The pick-pocket in chief.
Soak the Rich, Screw the Rest of Us

For those paying close attention to Barack Obama’s agenda and political philosophy, it was only a matter of time – it was never “if” taxes would go up, but when. Note this date, August 2, 2009 was the date that the administration tipped its hand with his top economic big shots including treasury Secretary and admitted tax fraud made it crystal clear it’s not a question of when taxes will be increased but how. He couldn’t have been much clearer on the issue than how he responded on ABC’s, This Week with George Stephanopoulos to the host asking the questions. Additionally, advisor, Larry Summers said basically the same during his appearance on CBS’s Face the Nation.

Having two officials deliver the same message on the same day, the administration leaves itself with little wiggle room to deny their intention. Can anyone take Obama’s denials a day later seriously? His top money guys were sent out to deliver the message, period.

Today, the economic news is troubling to the government showing the steepest drop in tax receipts since 1932 as the deficit continues to rise to now $1.8 TRILLION!!! The Associated Press’s economic team indicates receipts are down 22% from a year ago, unemployment, a downturn in economic activity, and possibly potential tax payers running for shelter in fear of rising taxes all contribute to this bad news. As Ronald Reagan’s and George W. Bush’s policies provided so dramatically, stimulate the economy by cutting the tax rate freeing up capital generating sources to crank up their profitability so by increasing the volume of their taxable income rather than grabbing it away from companies at the expense of their growth the economy benefits the most and government receipts go up.

How can tremendous tax increases not be inevitable when this administration and its allies on Capitol Hill, Democratic majorities in the house and senate, have committed to a vastly larger roll for government ballooning up virtually all functions of the Federal Government to the highest levels ever with this huge societal makeover spelled out in funding allocations in the huge omnibus spending bill, the so-called bail out measures, the allocation of troubled assets relief funds, bailouts of the auto industry with huge concession to labor unions, and the biggest measure of all currently under consideration, the complete government takeover and destruction of the nation’s current health care system in favor of a Euro-Socialistic approach.

Savvy political observers who watched Barack Obama emerge as a candidate from the earliest days knew this day was coming. Higher taxes are the inevitable consequence when left wing ideologues never having had significant private sector responsibilities seize power not being able to heed the knowledge and experience from those with more pragmatic, realistic expectations of the government.

Few paid attention to the kinds of influences who inhabited Barack Obama’s inner circle. There were plenty of left wing extremists, ideologically based activists, and radical elitists from academia. His main political constituencies were from Chicago corrupt machine politics, organized labor, and insidious activist groups like ACORN.

At the heart of the Obama political philosophy is that wealth is ill-begotten. For a person to amass individual wealth must be at the expense of others more deserving of retaining such finances. The government itself should be the arbiter of what constitutes sufficient income for individuals and all wealth in excess of that amount is essentially fair game for the government to redistribute as it assesses society’s needs for such funding. The neediest, of course, are those who are the most consistently supportive of the Obama machine and to whom the administration is beholden to for their support. Is it any wonder organized labor essentially has a card blache in having their political priorities actively supported both on Capitol Hill and in the White House?

A common failure among elected officials at all levels but most pronounced among left wing ideologues is the recognition that tax receipts are the people’s money not theirs to be spent frugally for the common good. The true believers in the nanny state, that they as the “progressive” leaders have a vision from which they know what’s good for society and it’s up to them to decide how much money it is legitimate for private citizens to retain, leads to the notion that the government can solve all problems and there should be government programs specifically designed to solve each and every one. Once that mindset takes hold, then those programs become the result of special interests groups lobbying the loudest for inclusion in the master plan. When the huge expenditures leading to out of sight trillions of dollars in debt are examined and citizens realize which programs are getting massive funding, we clearly see the rewards being allocated to the special interest groups that are in favor or to whom the administration and the democratic party is beholden. Labor unions, the environmental lobby, groups like ACORN, and select industries and finance concerns are in the driver’s seat.

Since 1994, the social activists sphere and the labor lobby has had limited success getting the goods from Washington, but with strong majorities in both houses and the most left wing President ever, an orgy of wild spending giving into their every agenda item and whim is running up a seemingly insurmountable tab. However, the attitude is these groups are entitled to such goodies, and we as members of society owe it to them.

In the Obama-nation, the national government rules supreme. For-profit private sector enterprises are viewed with contempt to be regulated into compliance where the government is empowered to regulate salaries, determine workplace conditions, impose more and more environmental and energy use regulations through “cap and trade,” and provide for overwhelming subjugation to union power. State and local governments are subservient to the Federal government beholden to administering as directed what the Federal government passes off to them to control. Using the power of the Federal purse and the strings attached to such allocations, state governments have no leeway to challenge Federal mandates over their ability to act in the state’s best interest.

Through taxing the rich, the concept is that those who have been rewarded for their accomplishments must be brought in line with the masses of society. This is an inherently dangerous strategy which promotes failure as the desire is to bring down the best to a common level rather than seeking to provide the means for the lowest levels to have the opportunity to rise up to higher levels. When innovation and success are not rewarded, how does the United States maintain its leadership in the world economy, science, engineering, medicine, and technology?

The government cannot come up with a master plan for innovation and creativity. The more the government limits others perusing such lofty goals through limiting their finances and providing stifling regulations from which they can operate, the less great new things will sport the American label.

Today, Obama insists somehow everyone got it all wrong yesterday; there will be no middle class tax hikes. If the public is dumb enough to believe that, then they’ll believe Maryland will soon realize windfall financial gains selling ocean front condos outside Hagerstown.

Time for a Tea Party

well maybe not that kind of party, Alice!

The mention of the date, April 15th should make all hard-working tax paying Americans angry. It's the date the bill is due, Federal Income taxes (and many accompanying states) must be filed by 11:59 pm, OR ELSE.

Many people are out of work. Others are working for lesser jobs. Many who've done nothing wrong and continue to work are seeing their taxes going to pay for everything from corrupt corporate executives' salaries to every imaginable left-wing pork barrell many of which are give aways to groups that are dead set on rewarding all the wrong things like ACORN and the labor unions. Talk from the Obama administration that they only are interested in raising taxes on the rich is bullshit. Do you hear this? BULLSHIT, pure smelly BULLSHIT. A tax on one American is a tax on all Americans as it removes money from a free individual who can place it into the economy as he or she sees fit and tosses it into the layers and layers of bureaucracy before getting to its targeted purpose within the scheme of government where for every penny spent that actually reaches the economy often through unproductive government jobs hundreds of dollars are wasted on making sure every proper step is followed on how that penny will be spent with layers and layers of compliance assurance tracking so all the stake holders in the government system get their two cents first whether its minority setasides, mandatory union contracts, or all kinds of Federal auditors whose job is simply to document and document and document some more where that little piece of copper will be spent and who supposedly will benefit from its expenditure.

You'd damned well better be angry about what's going on. Does the fact that the Obama administration and the Democrats on Capitol Hill have created a debt larger than those of all 43 Presidents up to George W. Bush combined make you angry? Meanwhile, the Obama hit squad and fearless leader himself keeps up the stone faced lie that everything they're doing is necessary because of the failings of the last administration and that they did inherit a deficit.

Okay, they did inherit a deficit, some of which was unjustified. Most of it was an outcome of 9/11 and fighting two wars against radical Islam. You don't get out of debt by racking up larger debts and spending more money.

If the economy is hurting, the best solution is freeing up more money in the private sector to invest, hire, build, and create, but as the total sum of the trillions of dollars in the United States continues to shift with less money available to everyone from private individuals to small businesses to huge corporations going to the other side, the Federal government, everybody in the position to make money and purchase the products produced by our economy has less to work with. Earning, spending, and investing is the fuel which grows economies. Only when those activities increase will our economic difficulties be solved, but the only vision the Obama administration has is more and more government and intruding more and more into how the private sector conducts its business whether it is more regulations or attempting to dictate executive compensation. Once the government gets its hands into to something in the private sphere, it is generally there for good and from the initial point of intrusion their involvement grows like a lethal cancer on the institution it infected. Since World War II, public education has gone from a largely successful enterprise managed by local communities to being large state managed monopolies subject to more and more federal guidelines committed much more to serving the interests of those concerns large and rich enough to lobby for favorable political concessions like the teachers' unions. Parents have fewer choices and less involvement in how their local schools are run leaving their children's' future as the casualty.

The practice of medicine used to be centered around the relationship of doctor and patient, but over time, between lawyers increasingly getting involved making the process more litigious and as costs skyrocket first the insurance industry, then state regulators, and now the Federal government have entered the picture to where talk of government managed universal health care is on the horizon.

Now the Federal government is taking over the banking industry and possibly the domestic auto industry as well. Where does it stop? If folks think the way the government manages the post office and Amtrak is good and that the way they are treated at state departments of motor vehicles is good customer service, than maybe driving a car like the East German Trabant would be just hunky dory. Most of us wold demand better.

Demonstrate, write, talk, and blog. Speak up. Let the world know you will not stand for the government running your life. Think of the spirit of our forefathers who screamed "don't tread on me" and "no taxation without representation."

IT'S NOT TOO LATE!!!!

The Numbers Crunch

A Very SIMPLISTIC Look at the Current Economic Mess

Disclaimer: These are just a few basic calculations based on what's reported in today's headlines and RMF's humble feelings on the subject. There's much more to it than what we're capable of reporting, but it should help all of us accept on more personal terms what's at store right now.

The Bush Administration has asked for $700 BILLION to buy up troubled mortgages in its initial draft to help stop the escalating out-of-control economic disaster. Using the government's US Population Clock, our population is currently 305,208,350 and growing. Do the math. That equates to 2,293.52 per every "documented" man, woman, and child, rich, poor, young, old, of every race in our country. As such, the debt ceiling would have to be raised to 11.3 TRILLION dollars which works out to 37,023.89 which the government owes each one of us.

Dear Uncle Sam,

Sir, I am experiencing some financial difficulties. It's time for you to settle up your debt you owe me. Please make a check in the amount of $37,023.89 payable to.......... as quickly as possible.

GET THE PICTURE!!!

Now listen to the politicians twist the numbers and assign blame. They go no further than the nearest bathroom and look in the mirror.

It's time for official Washington to go into rehab for their chronic addiction to abusing OPM (Other Peoples' Money).

There's plenty of responsibility to be assigned to irresponsible corporate executives and boards too. Their job is to make money not squander it and have the government come to the rescue. Again, so much of it comes back to Washington, DC for all the rules and red tape they've created that increasingly makes it harder and harder for Corporate America to do business in a straight foward manner. Thanks to their selfish pollitical interests, some businesses are in a stranglehold while others get away with murder.

Business is responsible for producing the best products and services possible at a competative price while creating value for its stakeholders. Government's job is to ensure that business functions on an equitable playing field. Somehow, these basic missions have been forgotten as corporations have gotten deeper and deeper in speculative ventures and government creates special privileges for some while making doing business in America impossible for others.

Life is good for the lawyers, accountants, and consultants who are tasked with untangling the mess. The result, right off the top the government owes every person in this country around $40,ooo a person because they've maxed out their line of credit and its time to pay up.

I want mine. How about you?

BIDEN:The Rich Paying More Taxes Is Patriotic? Sir: We Question That Patriotism!!

"It's time to be patriotic ... time to jump in, time to be part of the deal, time to help get America out of the rut." Joe Biden on why the “rich” should pay more taxes as stated in an interview on Good Morning America, Thursday, September, 18, 2008.

Paying more taxes is the “patriotic” thing to do, really?

This is from the man we recently documented gave so little to charity over the past ten years, a miserly pittance of his annual income, never more than $400 a year while earning between $200-$300 thousand a year. The patriotic thing to do is pay more taxes. Excuse us, Mr. Biden, "For everyone to whom much is given, of him shall much be required." -- Luke 12:48 However, it is each person’s responsibility to live up to his or her own personal responsibilities. Right Minded Fellow documented earlier this week Mr. Biden’s niggardly contributions to charity.

This issue goes right to the heart of the cynical depravity of the prominent liberals of today’s political scene. Patriotism is something a person feels within himself or herself. Patriotism is a part of a person’s character. Patriotism requires an individual makes choices and acts upon those choices. Patriotism is not just being quiet and smiling while the government fleeces an individual regardless of wealth of more of his or her capital.

Walk through any major hospital and see the names of wings in that hospital bearing the name of some “rich” person in the community who provided substantial funding for its construction -- THAT’S PATRIOTISM.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra plays in Meyerhoff Hall, financed largely be the contributions of the Meyerhoff family. THAT’S PATRIOTIC.

Having an idea or a dream, following it through starting a business, and creating jobs for others, THAT’S PATRIOTIC.

Investing in America wisely, its businesses, its charities, its public and private institutions of learning and health care. THAT’S PATRIOTIC

Shut up and let the government take more of your money, that’s BULLSHIT not PATRIOTISM.

The conservative free-enterprise position is that the government should provide the fair playing field where more people can invest more of their money in enterprises that benefit others and put more money in everyone’s pocket. It’s not the government’s job to decide who has to much, STEAL it and give it to whomever it feels according to its political ideology most deserves it. That’s not just BULLSHIT that SOCIALISM.

As the current financial crisis filters down to the primary causes and whose actions helped cause it, it will be revealed that politicians were looking out for their self-interests and not keeping the playing field clean so these kinds of financial atrocities are not possible.

How much will the press notice that the second largest recipient of funds from the troubled Freddy Mac and Fannie Mae was Barack Obama himself (second to Chris Dodd who is in the bovine fecal matter up to his chin in mortgage crisis favors)? While Barack Obama rants and raves about how horrible it is that John McCain’s staff has employed many (former) lobbyists, he’d better take a good look at his own house and where’s his money coming from like Tony Rezko for instance.
When it comes to fixing up the economy, the Obama solution is to push the United States to the kind of socialism that all but destroyed the British economy until Maggie Thatcher liberated it. What a bitter irony! Increasingly, London not Wall Street is becoming the IPO center of the world as the American economy, high taxes on business, and over-regulation is forcing world class corporations to conduct their highest priority business anywhere but here.

Look at it this way, corporate America seeks to find the most intelligent and articulate talent available to represent its case in Washington through the lobbyists it hires. In a regulation-happy Capitol Hill where measures like Sarbanes-Oxley seek to prevent corporate corruption but instead burying companies in wasted productivity, higher overhead and costs, complying with the picayune details of this overreaching legislation, surely it is part of every public company’s responsibility to educate our elected leaders the real cost of their actions on the nation’s bottom line. Drive up the cost of doing business, companies are less profitable with less money to compensate workers, less profit to add value to their stock which is the backbone of pensions and 401K’s and in part helps contribute to the mess the economy has become today.

If John McCain wants a strong administration with top talent, who has the better pool of talent those who’ve survived corporate America or a federation of lawyers, “activists,” union officials, and other special interest advocates who comprise the Obama/Biden effort.

Sarah Palin put it nicely in her remarks about how politicians are addicted to OPM (yeah, read aloud it sounds like Opium), Other People’s Money. In Mr. Biden’s shameful interview, he continued to address the need of the governments need to “take” more money. Take more money.

There’s another fallacy of the Liberal Lie. Tax revenue is the people’s money, all the people’s money, to be spent prudently on that which benefits all the people.

While the Obama/Biden ticket and the Democratic leaders scream about oil company profits, they forbid those same companies from putting their money where it will benefit the American people the most, producing American oil, drilling off-shore, in Alaska, and other areas they have put off-limits. Contrast this to how Sarah Palin’s administration dealt with oil company profits in Alaska. In exchange for the state’s support to facilitate the industry functioning profitably in that state, the taxes levied against the oil companies go directly as rebates to Alaska’s citizens. The citizens share in the wealth generated by business in that state.
