More than 50% of Washington Area Kids Live in Single Parent Homes: The Washington DC Bastards You Don't Hear About

Is it any wonder that the city that invented the welfare state and used the Federal Government as a tool to systematically destroy morality and family unity should be cited for an incredibly high incidence of out of wedlock children living in single parent homes. Washington DC, particularly the eastern part of the city and Maryland's Prince George's County, particularly inside the Beltway in the shadows of Fedex Field are the areas most affected not to mention being just a short distance from Baltimore which faces similiar problems. For an area that was quick to roll out the welfare state, the result is the breakdown of society where no prevailing moral authority exists and public schools serve as enablers rather than helping to raise young people to develop responsible values and to prepare for a life of responsible living. Despite having a dynamic and assertive school system leader who was promptly fired when a new mayor took office, DC schools are among the nation's worst. Prince Georges County is not much better. The school climate with teachers incapable of purposeful instruction, disasterous test results, and dreadful discipline function hand-in-hand with dysfunctional homes to create generations reproducing generations of citizens with very low expectations for life likely to be recipients of government handouts. Between the roll of social policies, inferior schools, and no true family unit, the results are pure chaos where children are born with two strikes against them. Nothing in the the roll of public institurions truly are designed to elevate citizens out of their dependency but instead function to lock them into a system where the threat of losing their benefits makes them predisposed to support the politicians who claim to support them but in truth support the very measures that will ensure generations of losers to come.

Until we insist on demonstrating behavior has consquences and certain decisions are wrong, nothing will happen. As long as schools promote values of wishy-washy political correctness that avoid addressing irresposible choices at all costs, nothing good will happen.

The answers are hard to come by but demonstrating that good choices have good consequences would be a good place to start. No welfare benefits should be granted without certain stipulations and responsibilities having to be met. Schools must stop making excuses for dystunctional homes, realize this is from where their students come, and develop educational programs and teaching strategies that will get these kids doing well in school and assimulating positive values.

In an area where big intrusive government is the prevailing industry, it's little wonder that the worst results of such government would be so obvious in the area where such nonsense is legislated into being.

We must make our government rsponsible that it ensures no child is doomed to a life of misery and perpetuating such misery to the next generation.  We cannot afford maintaining such an immoral status quo.

Towson Professor Fired for "N" Word Evokes Broader Discussion of Racial Issues




Allen Zaruba, an adjunct faculty member teaching art at Towson University was fired for saying the magic word that most certainly leads to prompt dismissal regardless of intent or context in America, the “N” word. News of this professor’s poor judgment travelled rapidly across the country to where it was reported in the Huffington Post, the Chronicle of Higher Education, the Washington Post, and countless blogs across the country and even in Canada.

Heck we’re an anonymous blog, and we don’t use the “N” word, but if it ever comes to a point where for the sake of absolute truthfulness in a posting – we can’t rule it out. Still, even the “F” word has become acceptable in many instances and substituting for it while clearly wanting to give the listener or reader the message that “F” is the intended word. How often do we read “what the fuck?” Well fuck, why are we so much more easily upset by “N”?

First, let’s look at the Towson situation. According to Towerlight, the Towson University newspaper, Allen Zaruba referred to himself as “a nigger on the corporate plantation.” Yes, Towerlight, did publish the article with the “N” bomb spelled out at least on line as of 11:00 pm March 2.

In the lesson, Zaruba was reviewing “Themes of Contemporary Art” to his Visual Concepts class. The text, authored by Jean Robertson and Craig McDaniel, the professor was said to identify as “very politically incorrect.” During his discussion of a chapter about identity and the body, he spoke his fatal remark.

Reports indicate Zaruba, a twelve year veteran at the university, was quite a provocative speaker known for his “in your face delivery” but at least one student attending the class said the remark was not used with malicious intent.

The “N” word controversy is understandable but likewise the pinnacle of polite society’s hypocrisy and denial on racial issues.

When we’re little children, we were once taught, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me.” Ah, that was before the days of the uptight politically correct, easily offended litigious society. Furthermore, that’s easy for a middle-aged white American male to say having never been on the hated end of the “N” word.

In some contexts, we are taught that a white person quite simply can never use the word, period. It is never acceptable even when framed in all the proper contexts. Yet in many circles, we are supposed to tolerate it when one African-American calls another black person the detested word. “N” has several different meanings rich with nuance among the black community particularly among the street culture.

While the first amendment would indicate otherwise, the use of the word, nigger, has all but been outlawed in the United States when spoken by someone who is not a “person of color.” Anyone doubting this contention can surely test this thesis by screaming the taboo word at his place of employment or in any public gathering and see how quickly the sparks fly.

Now for the hard part, has the all but total ban on the majority population of which some members once enslaved the minority population from using the “N” word eliminate racism in our country? Are some of the social atrocities that are disproportionately far more prevalent in African-American communities made any better by banning the “N” word? As of March 2, 2010, there have been 24 homicides in Baltimore City, every single homicide victim is a black male. Does the fact that the white people in the suburbs insist none of them would ever use the “N” word make the situation just a few miles from their homes across the city line for these members of their community. Does the prohibition of using the “N” word lead the majority culture to help create a meaningful pathway for all members of society to become productive citizens by doing what’s necessary to close down failing schools mostly in African American communities, engage those children with effective programs that promote learning and success not continued failure?

The hypocrisy and self-righteousness shown by so many folks in today’s world regarding the “N” word does nothing to make the world a better place for some of our least fortunate citizens but surely instigates all kinds of bad faith and self-deception about the real issues that our society refuses to deal with.

Racism is fucking ugly. There’s no nice way to say it. If we never hear the second syllables of renege and swinger patched together as one word, the ugliness will still be with us.

Racism will be solved when we live in a truly post-racial world and if anyone reading this thinks the election of Barack Obama puts us one step closer to that reality, forget it. If nothing else, the Obama election has provided more excuses for all kinds of denial and false assumptions. The whole concept of white guilt just went away because so many white citizens voted for Obama for President? Hardly!

When our culture gets to the point where skin color is dealt with much the same way we react to people of different hair colors or physical height, we could finally say racism is eliminated. The problem is far more than skin color differences propel racism. There are all kinds of social and cultural factors no one wants to come to terms with solving. How many problems that appear racial on the surface are truly more socio-economic at heart?

There can be no question that many programs of the Great Society, massive government entitlements and quotas, and the notion of affirmative action have not truly balanced out the effects of the underlying social problems that won’t go away as they become a form of the exact thing they’re supposed to eliminate – favor based on race.

The United States needs to be an opportunity based society which uses its many resources and tremendous constitutional values to make it possible for all citizens to pursue life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

The root causes of urban violence often so dependent on the drug culture must be eliminated. One solution would be legalizing marijuana, and treating those addicted to hard drugs from an educational and medical standpoint not a criminal enforcement standpoint. There can be no more failing schools. Vouchers, charter schools, and other creative solutions must be employed to help kids get the education they deserve. Furthermore, while many of these children enter the school system with many disadvantages suburban white kids will never know, schools must stop blaming disadvantaged kids’ parents and their communities for their failure in school. The school system must develop the proper teaching methods and learn how to engage these kids so they will master reading, math, and other skill areas necessary to succeed in the world at large while instilling the proper values and work ethic to become productive participants in society where they will be equipped to take advantage of the opportunities our society can offer.

These are some of our ideas. Clearly, it’s not something that’s straightforward where gosh if the government would just spend enough money, the problem is all gone. The solution will require much discussion, debate, and finally consensus. Everyone will need to be involved in some measure. We are all brothers and neighbors. We cannot just assuming paying taxes absolves us of our personal responsibilities. Ideally more money will come out of our pockets, our charities, and our businesses not the government coffers. It can be done, but tough challenges are never easy.

We will lend our voice to the chorus, please do not ever use the “N” word. Know that doing so can subject your reputation to damage you might never be able to erase. It is a bad word. It symbolizes horrible things. It reminds us of things we try not to think about. It reminds us all is not right in the world. It makes us tingle and defensive.

In the meantime, say a prayer for Allen Zaruba. Regardless of what his heart is or where he stands on issues, that he used the “N” word while teaching a college class at a state university will be something from which he will never escape.

The ultimate solution for racial problems in America has far more to do with us opening our eyes and our hearts and a lot less with shutting our mouths.

Martin Luther King Day: REALITY CHECK



America celebrates Martin Luther King’s birthday today as the third Monday of January, making it a government holiday conducive for a three day weekend but perhaps less honorific of the man whose birthday was January 15, 1929. It’s the man and his accomplishments that matter, and who else in American history helped change America for the better the way Dr. King did?

Like many martyrs, it has become almost impossible to talk about Martin Luther King objectively, as a real person who had real strengths and weaknesses. Since his death on that horrible 4th day of April, 1968, politicians, civil rights leaders, journalists, and Americans from all walks of life have cloaked their objectives behind the King legacy, some times in noble ways consistent of the dream King envisioned; others in dreadfully opportunistic ways that either misrepresent his principles or use his vision to stir emotions for unjust causes.

It’s hard to believe what racial divides existed in the summer of 1963 when King gave his famous “I Have a Dream” speech from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. This writer can remember as a youth travelling through Virginia where a dining facility had separate bathrooms where the ones for “colored people” was only accessible from outside and then seeing robed Ku Klux Klan members standing on a street corner in a small Tidewater town.

Within a decade much had changed. The break down of racial barriers through the 1970's were substantial. Now, a generation later, the United States has a Black president although Barack Obama has no familial connection whatsoever to the citizens of African descent whose ancestors were brought to these shores as slaves. From corporate board rooms to virtually every walk of life, people of all races are leaders and top professionals. That the gender barrier has also fallen also owes much to the pathway the Civil Rights Movement provided.

While much has been accomplished, there is still much work to be done. Sadly, the so-called “Black Leaders” are hardly on the right path and often use racial division as a means to promote themselves and their special interests but not help those in need at all. For if there were not racial division, they’d have no reason to exist. How many times have there been situations that required clear, rational discussion where figures like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton injected race creating a racially inflammatory situation where a more reasoned approach would be to the greatest benefit of all? Sufficient examples document Jackson’s corporate shakedowns where he attempts to establish improper racial practices by major companies leading to settlements most beneficial to Jackson’s special interests not the black community at large.

Racial quotas more politely named “affirmative action” and perhaps the rise of political correctness itself are negative consequences of how the real thrust of the pursuit of social justice has been perverted. Truly, if what really matters is as King expressed, the content of one’s character not one’s skin color, the hypocrisy becomes quite evident.

Such distinctions as mentioned so far don’t address the real issue, that racism is still alive and well, and a huge segment of African-America does not have the same opportunities as the rest of the population.

Consider the following subjects: academic performance and test performance, unemployment, and the prison population – whose numbers are showing a horrible disconnect with the rest of America, young black men, we MUST do better.

In the best of circumstances, white teachers who’d go berserk at the slightest suggestion they might see the world in racial terms are quick to write off the potential of young black male students who might be well-behaved and polite but only squeaking by with “C” work. “Oh he’s doing pretty good for a black kid.” Well, maybe this kid has the potential to do “A” work but isn’t being challenged to do so. How about that? There is no question that the pervasive culture of mainstream public education is one of lower expectations of African-American students. Teachers are reluctant to challenge black students where they might be much more assertive with other students.

Far worse is the climate that exists in predominantly majority black schools generally in urban areas where the white population has evacuated and at times left the local district with less funding that their surrounding communities. For the last few decades state and Federal funding has poured into urban schools but like sending foreign aid to a corrupt third world dictatorship, the money seems to go more toward perks and privilege for the bureaucracy never reaching those in need for whom the funds were intended.

Schools must create a safe, comfortable environment if the neediest students are ever to have a chance to succeed. Children need teachers who take an interest in them as individuals and work with them on their academics and character.

Evil influences confront young black males at every turn where the “gangsta” influence and contempt for authority it embraces pervades the culture and leads to dangerous behavior of gang involvement, violence, and drugs.

Corporate America, whether it is the music industry pushing the worst of rap music that glorifies violence and sexual aggression or companies and retailers of “athletic apparel” selling their overpriced wares to often the most economically disadvantaged households, inappropriate and unrealistic images are suffocating reality – the underlying value: crass conspicuous materialism.

Washington, DC had a most beneficial program granting tuition vouchers to needy students to attend private and parochial schools. How quickly the Democratic Party’s majority on Capitol Hill revoked this program to satisfy the political desires of the teachers unions rather than benefit the children. To see the kids who had benefitted from this program, how intelligent, articulate, and purposeful their enriched education had helped them become – that these kids had bold dreams of college and beyond and to think that kids in this program would be thrown back into the cesspool of DC schools is beyond heartbreaking, it’s purely a moral outrage.

That these kids from such limited backgrounds could do so well shows convincingly that given the right kind of attention and a solid academic program, ALL CHILDREN CAN SUCCEED.

We need only look to where many of the kids in urban public cities graduate to see the results of a failing institution. Again and again, we’ve heard that there are more black men of college age in prison, on probation, parole, or facing charges than attending college. To say that this is in part a direct result of the dreadful school environment many of which served as the breeding and indoctrination grounds into lives of crime is ludicrous. It would be interesting to note how many of these young black men are in jail for drug possession charges that white kids in the suburbs would never get locked up for.

We must unite as a nation and declare that every school must be a compassionate and effective place of learning for all students, that every child matters, that every child must be challenged to succeed, that all behavior good and bad has consequences, and that hard work, positive values, and respect for others will always be the ultimate desired result with a meaningful curriculum that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and values supporting these aims on every level.

We must assure that American justice and law is color blind. The insane war on drugs and how the law persecutes minorities must be torn inside out where law enforcement deals with the real dangers to society and isn’t locking up kids for blowing a little reefer. The greatest defense against drug abuse is creating the values where such counterproductive behavior is not an option. This points directly back to proper schooling that instills proper self-respect and discipline that help young people chose more appropriate alternatives.

Dr. Martin Luther King’s dream is alive so is his struggle. The battle lines are different but the goal remains the same.

Somehow, Martin Luther King sales at the big retailers and NBA matinees disregard the very philosophy behind which honoring Doctor King with a holiday was established in the first place. Sadly, in 2010, MLK day is becoming just another government holiday whose essential meaning is not getting the reflection it deserves.

Insurance Company Ordered Not to Communicate With Subscribers on Health Care Seizure


Humana, a Medicare Advantage Provider, Issued Gag Order by Obama Administration

Humana Inc. communicated with its subscribers illustrating what proposed Social Security cuts to pay for the Government seizure of the country’s health care plan would mean to them. A private company attempting to communicate its perspective on a controversial public issue has been silenced by order of the government.

On what possible grounds in a democratic society can this be justified? This is pure totalitarianism in action. Apparently, the first amendment as with other constitutional provisions that provide obstacles to Obama’s grand vision, in essence acting as a de facto dictator of the proletariat in his attempts to socialize America, the rule of law does not apply when Obama seeks to pursue something he deems as “the greater good.”

Meanwhile, AARP, which sells Medicare related insurance policies, also criticized some aspects of the Obama health plan but no action was taken against them. Could it be that because they are higher visibility than an insurance company and has given so generously given to Democratic candidates have anything to do with it?

Naturally, it’s no secret one of the latest strategies of the administration’s push to sell its assault on private health care is to demonize insurance companies so such a heavy-handed action should not be surprising.

Regardless of where one stands on this issue, when the government attempts to muzzle free speech on controversial topics is a very serious and dangerous situation.

We condemn Barack Obama’s henchmen for this treacherous and oppressive act. To call it un-American would be the ultimate in understatement.

Florida Hospice Chaplain Resigns over Ban on Use of Word, “God”


Inspiration behind political correctness.



How ridiculous can political correctness and the attempt of secularists to impose their lack of values on society be? The Godless in society cite the United States constitution claiming a wall of separation between church and state as their guiding principal and use that misperception of the First Amendment as the vehicle for imposing absurd workplace policy.

One would find it hard to imagine how much license against the belief in God and practice of faith morally bankrupt petty fools have inferred from the First Amendment. This amendment is short and to the point on religion and other matters, it reads:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The architect of the First Amendment was Thomas Jefferson who also authored The Declaration of Independence the document which set forth the philosophy on which our republic was founded. Before going into the specific grievances the colonists had against Great Britain, the justification for succeeding from the British Crown was made clear.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed…

The intention behind the First Amendment was to ban congress and by extension, the states from imposing a state religion on the population creating an institution like the Church of England or establishing a religion as the state religion as the European nations that embraced Roman Catholicism. The history of American colonization is full of examples where colonist fled Great Britain in pursuit of free religious expression in the New World whether it was Lord Baltimore’s Catholicism in Maryland, the Quakers in Pennsylvania, or Pilgrims in Massachusetts. The First Amendment guaranteed the individual the right to worship as he or she desired without the threat of state sanctions against that practice and that there would never be an official religion of the United States. No where was it prescribed that our fledgling republic should be a Goddess state.

There are declarations which provide for a Godless society. For more information, consult the Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Frederick Engels. Modern politically correct society is much more oriented to following the concepts of Communism than it is a Constitutional Republic.

Where does the sadistic inhumane outlook of modern liberalism raise its ugly head more than in this sad situation in Florida. When a Chaplain, a spiritual person on staff to provide spiritual comfort to dying patients cannot express herself from her spiritual background, the movement toward a godless society has gone way too far. How weak and sickly their rationale is that they cannot tolerate even being present to hear or witness someone else expressing their religious convictions. Nowhere in any cases whether it’s this one or the numerous situations where people speaking as individuals, such as students in classroom situations, has there been any attempt to convert nonbelievers or force as religion on those who don’t agree with the person with religious convictions.

Jefferson envisioned a society where there would be open expression and debate of all ideas not denying expression of those that some find offensive, and perhaps those who have difficulty hearing others profess their belief in God ought to pause and reflect. They just might learn something that could add tremendous meaning and comfort in their shallow empty lives.

Honor Killing In Buffalo?


Beneath the appearance of a seemingly All-American
couple, the horrors of Islamic subjugation of women
stirred viciously leading to violent murder.

Why the silence? This is the kind of story that chills the compassionate human being to the bone, but these stories don’t get much attention in the main stream media who avoid any mention of distasteful aspects of some factions of Islamic culture, but the phenomenon of “honor killing” is the ultimate display of Muslem brutal oppression and contempt for women grotesquely murdered for simply showing the smallest signs of independence that western women take for granted.

This tragedy took place in Buffalo, New York. Aasiya Hassan filed for divorce from her husband alleging domestic abuse. Police issued a protective order to bar her television producer, husband from the family home in Orchard Park or having any contact with his estranged fearful spouse.

Muzzammil Hassan was an aspiring television producer who provided content for major networks who founded Bridges TV in 2004 in an effort to provide a broadcast outlet for American Muslims to counter the negative stereotypes he alleged the broader culture has toward Islamic culture. Mr. Hassan, 44, is an immigrant from Pakistan married eight years to Aasiya raising two children 4 and 6 and two older children from his previous marriage.

Ms. Hassan’s mutilated body was found on the office floor of the Orchard Park television station where Mr. Hassan worked.

Where is the widespread major network coverage of this shocking tragedy and public outrage? Given the huge numbers of Moslems world wide and the hateful treatment of women throughout the Islamic world, does this issue not deserve total exposure and world wide efforts to target this abuse and oppression on every level possible?

In a world where women’s rights have made tremendous advancements through out the Western world and civilized nations speak out about human rights tragedies worldwide, the horrors of sexual abuse against women as best exemplified by honor killings where males justify the brutal murder of women who fail to comply to their total control in even the most subtle ways possibly not wearing the appropriate oppressive Islamic garb in the established ways or asserting any degree of personal independence from attempting to back out of prearranged marriages or even showing the slightest yearning to embrace any aspect of western culture. In western culture we might hear our women complain sarcastically, wearing pantyhose and high heels is killing them. In the Islamic world, women could be killed for daring to wear them.

Given the United States and western culture in general is the target of a declared cultural war by radical factions of Islam and instances of the barbaric rites of honor culture are defiantly practiced in the midst of our freedom loving culture, all Americans should attempt to learn the truth about Islam but such pursuits are not easy. So much information at hand about the ways of Islam have been sanitized where any criticism of their culture falls victim to the powers of overreaching and dishonest political correctness.

Simply learning the history of the historical figure of Mohammed should lead any rational person to see that he is much better suited for being included in the company of murderous tyrants like Ghengis Khan, Tamerlane, Attila the Hun and Adolph Hitler surely not in the same revered sacred status of Jesus Christ and Buddha. The Old and New Testaments warn of false prophets. So who is Mohammed?

The corrupt teaching of Islam focusing on its most vicious elements has cruel human consequences. Terrorists bombers scream “Allah is great” as they press the button to kill themselves to kill as many others as possible. Those following the news carefully will see examples time and time again of honor killings becoming more frequent in Western society all the time as the Islamic population becomes more deeply engrained.

Outrage and contempt for such behavior is justified and the expression of condemnation of such extreme sexist horrors must be heard loud and clear.

$55 to Call 911: Texas Community's Shameful Cruel Penny Pinching


Here’s an outrageous situation where greedy government and attempts to reach in its citizens’ wallets has gone completely out of control. The city of Castle Hills, Texas voted that each resident is allowed one 911 call a year but would charge residents a fee in this San Antonio suburb of FIFTY FIVE DOLLARS for their “First Responder’s Fee.” The city only budgeted a miserly $215,000 for their EMS services for the year. Unless their whole population consists of young, healthy, morally pure citizens who can somehow live under a magic dome where even the wicked mother nature can’t cause a problem or two, this budget is absurd leading to the greater absurdity, charging a stiff fee for EMERGENCY services.

Supposedly, this fee does not apply if the caller is reporting an active fire or requesting police help. So does this mean residents can call all they want to complain about their neighbors playing music too loud or “Eeks, we smell smoke!” likewise complaining about FIRE the aroma of a neighbor’s backyard barbeque? Meanwhile, what about citizens with chronic conditions, the elderly with serious health problems likely on a fixed income? A city spokesman said they could, of course, possibly be reimbursed by their health insurance. Oh really? What about people who haven’t reached Medicare age and have no insurance? Do they take VISA or MasterCard? Are residents supposed to have fifty five dollars in exact change handy should the unfortunate befall them a second time?

911 abuse is a serious problem in almost every district in the country where people elevate to emergency status silly things like ratting on neighbors who might not comply with city ordinances on how their garbage is supposed to be put curbside or that someone’s dog poopied in the wrong place. Medical emergencies are no laughing matter. While some will point out stories of calling ambulances for minor situation that do not require emergency attention sadly emergency rooms are the only point of entry for many poor and under insured citizens entrée into the medical system. It is the emergency responders’ duty to take all citizen requests seriously. Corrective measures can be taken against the abusers after the fact and perhaps more severe penalties need to be considered for those who abuse the system.

No matter how one looks at it, the struggles many municipalities are having funding necessary public services or considering how the 911 service is abused, the approach enacted by Castle Hills, Texas isn’t just wrong, it’s downright mean and immoral. Their ridiculous decision must be reversed NOW.

Over the last two weeks, America has seen a lot of posturing and moralizing about Olympic Gold Medal Swimmer Mike Phelps’ being caught in a photograph puffing from a marijuana bong. Next came the revelation of steroid use by baseball’s arguably greatest talent, Alex Rodriguez. Capitol Hill figures like Chris Dodd and Barney Frank are up to their ears in responsibility for factors which helped bring on the current financial collapse. Wall Street big wigs and corporate executives who made faulty deals and ran their companies into the ground with little or no consequences and often gloriously rich far parachutes with little more than hand-wringing in reaction. How about a President who resorts to sheer demagoguery, threatening impending catastrophe, to justify support for the so-called stimulus package laden with pork, special interest handouts, and simply inexplicable wastes of money like funding for Frisbee golf courses!

In the span of just a few days, the Democratic party led by Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi with Harry Reid riding shotgun in the Senate as the pathetic whiner to reign in rivals for Senatorial control like Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer are pushing through a massive transfer of wealth from the private to public sector while tightening the grip the Federal government holds over private interests some of which have acted miserably and irresponsibly that perhaps would be better off left to their own devices to sink or swim rather than to have all the rest of us as individuals and corporations who have performed successfully give up our hard-earned assets to reward the incompetent, corrupt, and greedy.

Something’s rotten in California that doesn’t directly involve politics but it demands the nanny state come to the rescue, but how will it respond? Will it support the cult of victimology rewarding the irresponsible or will it look out for those most in need of help while seeking justice against the guilty?

We are referring to the Nadya Suleman fiasco and what will become of her multiple litters of children. Any right thinking person who saw clips of her interview on “The Today Show” could hardly help but feel a horrible sense of disbelief while at the same time experiencing vicious anger toward the insane and totally self-absorbed answers this sick, deranged woman provided. She spoke with conviction that once she finished her college degree she would have the means to provide for all of her children without any sense of just how much responsibility and attention such child care involves. Meanwhile, commentator after commentator couldn’t help but see a chilling attempted resemblance to Angela Joile, a mother of multiple children through adoption and natural birth who has the millions to hire all the resources necessary to care for those children, many rescued from wretched circumstances. Good old Angela! Why Brad Pitt would have dumped Jennifer Annison for the sake of this post-modern cat woman is another strange perversion of "me-ism" though we don't think we're smart enough to figure that one out. Where did Ms. Soleman get those big fat collagen enhanced lips for instance. Those artificial looking lips alone make this woman look like a pathetic freak as they are far beyond anything that could be perceived as looking natural. This is yet another sign of the woman’s extreme vanity and inability to deal with the real world and her circumstances as they should exist naturally.

As each day goes by, more and more is being reported about the life this pathetic woman has lived and the needs of her children. It is gut-wrenching beyond believe and how one’s self-centered “me” generation attitude pushed to its ultimate extreme can create a situation so tragic and cruel pushes the limits of human tolerance. Three of her six, half of her existing children suffer disabilities. Whether this are birth defects or the result of improper care and/or nutrition has not been determined yet. Second she has driven her parents, bankrupt. Additionally, while receiving disability income for an alleged back injury while working for a state mental facility where it seems now this woman should have been a resident not a worker, the state’s welfare system is her source of income to provide for her children. Meanwhile, they reside in a small modest three bedroom house, this sickly breeder of suffering children, the children, and her two parents. This is where the eight children will live once their incubator care is completed. The children currently at home haven’t adequate living space.

Cruelty and destructive behavior can wear many faces. We recognize that which is born from outwardly aggressive and angry behavior, but that which is self-centered or pretends to be motivated out of kindness is possibly more dangerous as many cannot recognize the danger until the damage is already done. Nadja Soleman was not able to produce fourteen children on her own. The medical system broke down to enable this. Just as the Obama “stimulus” is cloaked in all kinds of language being designed to help the needy and the public at large.

The Suleman tragedy demands quick, decisive action. First, all fourteen children must be taken by the state. They are already being financed by the state so custody should be transferred as quickly as possible. All the children need careful medical evaluation and observation. The possibility of lifelong problems grows substantially for children born well short of coming to full terms. The state should then find loving parents who would joyfully adopt these children and provide them with the nurturing environment we’d hope society would feel all children deserve. Second, Nadja Soleman’s conduct and finances need to be investigated thoroughly while she is given exhaustive intellectual capacity and emotional stability tests. She speaks with significant language skills with considerable conviction, but what drives a person to such totally irrational behavior? Is she totally nuts or is it more a matter of how she has assimilated signals from society which justify the extreme applications of the doctrine of self, support excessive individual indulgence and vanity, and have plenty of structures that can act as enablers for those who aren’t motivated to take care of themselves. That this would happen in the Los Angeles area should come as no surprise, the home of the Hollywood culture where vanity and excess rule supreme. Just a glimpse at the local morning programs which air before “Good Morning America’ and “The Today Show” show a community with a very different orientation than those of us who live in "flyover country." KTTV, the local Fox station, presents network slut best known as the dim-witted weather girl for Fox NFL pregame shows, Julianne Reynolds with co-anchor status where she presents weather but also celebrity gossip which commands equal if not more attention than the soft news generally shown on such shows elsewhere.

Meanwhile, we return to the scene of another media circus, South Carolina, where Michael Phelps was photographed taking a bong hit. Sheriff Leon Lott is on a rampage to play tough guy showing just how tough his version of law enforcement can be in his jurisdiction arresting eight people, seven for simple marijuana possession, and one for apparent distribution, as he seems hell bent on leaving no stone unturned in his warped sense of pursuing justice. His grasp of reality is just as distorted as that of Nadja Suleman’s. Either this is a Podunk district where the law has nothing better to do than pursue such a farcical endeavor or vital resources are being diverted from much more pressing problems which might include such real human tragedies including child neglect and spousal abuse but such prosecutions don’t make headlines and require a lot of intelligent hard work. The way marijuana enforcement is conducted amounts to little more than small timey fascism as the force of the law far exceeds any possible damage to society the perceived crime could possibly cause. In South Carolina, simple possession is punishable by no more than 30 days in jail or a $500 fine. One more thing, eureka!!!, apparently the Barney Fife/Heinrich Müller hybrid and his deputies having the smoking gun, er uhm, bong in their possession. We’re not accusing all those who might be involved in this marijuana case as geniuses, as apparently the fellow who had the bong attempted to sell it on eBay for $100,000. How’s that for cheesy but utterly stupid opportunism?

It’s clear to anyone who understands this issue clearly who the real dopes are in Columbia, South Carolina and its not the kids who were doing what college students have done since Socrates gathered with his pupils in ancient Greece, PARTY! Sure, the fellow who tried to strike it rich by selling the bong on email is a dope, but that’s not for marijuana, it’s for the same unbelievable doctrine of self that corrupts society in so many ways.

Apparently South Carolina governor, Mark Sanford, one of the bright stars in a vapid Republican field in 2009 has no use for the actions of Sherriff Lott, telling Fox news intrepid expert on the joys of self, Geraldo Rivera, offering a mild rebuke, "I don't see what it gets at this point.."

Socialism is a system of heavy-handed state control where the individual cannot be trusted to make decisions for himself or accept the consequences of his actions. How fascinating it is how those in the American system most closely allied to the nanny state, and socialist reforms are revealed time and time again to be the most miserly when it comes to charitable contributions as tax data on Joseph Biden and Al Gore have so shamefully revealed. Further, from the political party that believes taxing wealth is the answer to society’s ills, and the basic tenant of socialism is state managed distribution of wealth, we’ve seen numerous nominees who have cheated on their taxes.

The basic ideals on which our Constitution and Bill of Rights were founded demands and rewards personal responsibility, but given the perverse decisions which have reinvented constitutional notions to fit their liberal dogma and public education has completely turned upside down and ignored the teaching of American history and the origins and meaning of the Constitution to the extent that students for at least the last 35-40 years since the leftist rewriting of curriculum has taken hold, how can anyone clearly understand what the structure of our society is all about?

From the foundation on which the role of government is defined in the establishment of the United States in the Declaration of Independence, “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” the concepts of the first and second amendment provide the structure of law to provide such. Article upon article in The Constitution establish the rights and implied responsibilities of the individual. Providing the means for reckless procreation of fourteen children leaving the state to pick up the tab and the heavy handed reach of the law for something as simple as marijuana is a horrible perversion of those core ideals. Does anyone think Thomas Jefferson gave a damn about whether someone puffed on a little bit of a naturally grown weed?

How things have changed. We have a president who is a serial liar and a casual sophist, a congress full of extreme vested self-interests, and a court system that routinely oversteps its bounds time and time again. When dishonesty and irresponsibility runs wild at the top both in Washington and on Wall Street, we see the effects of trickledown immorality as it filters down to Main Street and how individuals develop such a perverted warped sense of self as demonstrated by Nadja Suleman and Sheriff Leon Lott.

Are Nadja Suleman and Sheriff Lott the bad guys or only the duped pawns of bigger players far more powerful and perverted in the highest center of power could provide for lively debate, but when reads the Declaration of Independence, The Constitution, The Bill of Rights, and the Bible even just a passing review of the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule, all of us should know better. More so, all of us should demand better. As the words of Jesus Christ so often offer guidance in so many human dilemmas, perhaps we should consider, “Let who among us is without sin cast the first stone.” To some extent to the extent that we keep our outrage private, we condone the indefensible, and don’t speak out with outrage when we see gross public displays of immoral, inhumane, and oppressive behavior, “everyman” USA, each one of us, is the real bad guy.

Let’s get with it before that which soldiers have died and many have fought paying extreme costs to defend erodes right before our eyes. What is happening in California with the Nadja Suleman children and Columbia, South Carolina with the fascist tactics of the local sheriff show so clearly because we don’t have a grip on the affairs of state, the state is running amuck whether it is our tax dollars paying for a stupid insane woman to deliver a litter of eight babies when she already has six fatherless children with no means of support or a pompous self-serving sheriff overstepping any sense of legal sensibility in the Phelps case. That we have elected a radical extremist ignoring every aspect of his detestable background as our supreme leader shows how out of touch we are.

The bad guy can be seen looking back at each one of us when we look in the mirror.

Friday morning gave the world its first glimpse of the irresponsible, deranged, and stupid woman, Nadya Suleman, who gave birth to octuplets while already having six children none of whom have a known father all produced by a sperm donor through invitro implantation.

Her interview with NBC personality, Ann Curry, plays out as a sickly soap opera. It was hard not to think of the mother-zombies of the Texas cult were young girls were rounded up as breeding stock for the pleasures of the male compound members, who looked glassy-eyed and robotic as they spoke in a soft monotone justifying their behavior as they too were engaged in a bizarre and disturbing mutation of motherhood. From her first words, the world saw a woman who did not have the emotional composure of a rational thirty three year old adult. A unifying theme that is not uncommon in today’s world is that she only sees the world through her own terms, her own needs, her own wants, and her own ability to twist the rational and moral to fit her sickly desires.

Ms. Suleman’s reasoning goes something like this. Describing her choice as “unconventional,” she felt neglected as a child being a single child she did not have the companionship of other siblings and that made her feel bad. In her own words speaking to Ann Curry of NBC News:

“Feeling of self and identity,” Suleman replied. “I didn't feel as though, when I was a child, I had much control of my environment. I felt powerless. And that gave me a sense of predictability. Reflecting back on my childhood, I know it wasn't functional. It was pretty dysfunctional, and whose isn't?”

Should we take that as a confession she’s too crazy to be a responsible mother? Why not?

While we might be quick to stereotype this idiot, she is thirty three years old and is college educated! This is not something that can be blamed on youthful immaturity. In her own demented way, this was her plan. This is what she wanted. She feels she is capable of being a good mother and her amazing compassion will work miracles for all fourteen children!

Consider this directly from the NBC interview:

“People feel, you know, this woman is being completely irresponsible and selfish to bring these children in the world without a clear source of income and enough help to raise them,” Curry told Nadya Suleman in a segment that aired Friday on TODAY. “The world outside is saying, ‘What are you doing?’ ”

“I know I'll be able to afford them when I'm done with my schooling,” the 33-year-old single mom replied. Calm, poised and articulate in the glare of the media spotlight, Suleman added: “If I was just sitting down watching TV and not being as determined as I am to succeed and provide a better future for my children, I believe that would be considered, to a certain degree, selfish.”

How clear her egocentric point-of-view and inability to see the consequences of her behavior are in these words. She thinks that she alone, her own feelings, is what will make life good for these doomed children. She doesn’t see the obvious cruel and horrible conditions that these children will have forced upon them with no escape. Not a single one of these kids will have his or her own living space. None of these kids will have the guidance of a father and will receive only a fraction of the attention a normal child would receive from his or her mom, but we question what quality of attention such a delusional mother could provide in the first place?

What kind of moral and personal guidance will be available for these retched kids? Who can attend to them in a substantial way in their moment of need? How can they develop any sense of individuality? For any of these poor children to have the nurturing environment allowing them to become well-adjusted responsible adults does not exist. Maybe a couple of them will turn out okay. There’s no denying the power of the human spirit, but the deck is stacked against them in ways we can hardly begin to understand.

Also lost in all the hoopla is this sickly, depraved idiot is living off disability income from the State of California! If she’s not well enough to work, she can handle the duties of fourteen children. This is a sick woman. Fourteen children all under the age of eight years old, how can anyone think that is acceptable.

As her background and quotes add up, the pure insanity of her situation explodes before the viewer’s eyes.

Her background was being employed at a state mental health facility from 1997-2006 injuring her back in a 2006 riot there. Hmm, doesn’t lifting and dealing with children put a lot of additional sprain on one’s back? How disabled is she? We can’t help but asking as she has such a deeply ingrained sense of entitlement to begin with.

Insisting she is a good mother she affirmed with pride:

All I wanted was children. I wanted to be a mom. That's all I ever wanted in my life. I love my children.”

She added: (again from the Curry interview)

“I'm providing myself to my children. I'm loving them unconditionally, accepting them unconditionally,” she told Curry. “Everything I do, I'll stop my life for them and be present with them. And hold them. And be with them. And how many parents do that? I'm sure there are many that do, but many don't. And that's unfortunate. That is selfish.”

Talk about the “audacity of hope,” she sets herself up as more dedicated than most parents. WHOA!

She thinks the good will of her church and her community will come forward to help her. What kind of retched sense of entitlement is that? Her value system is the “Me” generation played out to its worst extreme coupled with the ethos of a victim’s society and sense of entitlement.

What’s lost in this whole mess are two things: the children and the medical professionals who enabled this to happen. The children are doomed. They have a mother without a job living with her parents who don’t have the means to support their daughter and six children much less fourteen. Any responsible family with just one or two children knows the challenges of parenthood even in traditional two parent families juggling careers, budgets, and other commitments to give their kids the best upbringing to prepare them for a successful future in the world. Taking care of children is not cheap. We’ve documented the work of Diane Auer Jones, for instance, who has thoroughly laid out the challenges families face trying to help pay their kids through college. For starters, support for a college education will not be an option for any of these fourteen kids. Under the best circumstances, if only three or four of them would be college bound, the ability to borrow money to assist in their expenses would be out of reach. Parents being able to provide for their kids’ college education is the optimal degree of parental support. However, fourteen children, think of that. Think of what kind of living environment even parents with significant wealth could provide. How many kids would have to share bedrooms, bathrooms, and living space? Even a mansion on a farm might seem too cramped!

More importantly, each child is his or her own individual with his or her own needs, challenges, problems, and conflicts. Each child needs to be properly washed, dressed, and fed, prepared for school, and adequately supervised. Ask any teacher how much attention it takes just to supervise a group of children for the duration of one class period much less the amount of time elementary school teachers spend with their students where teachers have the resources and support of an entire school behind them.

Even with a staff of nannies and care providers, these poor children’s lives will be living hell starved for adequate attention and growing space. To think that they will be able to grow up as well adjusted, emotionally stable human beings is all but an impossible proposition.

Where’s the money going to come from to provide even minimal support? Right now, the mother is attempting to exploit the media through exclusive interviews, book deals, and any other means she can sell her story asking for millions. Let’s be real, while this story brings forth a lot of attention for how shameful and irresponsible it is and our natural compassion for the kids, how much more does the public need or want to know beyond what she has already presented in her Today Show interview? How much beyond the morbid sensation of passing by the scene of an accident does the public have for a person no one in his or her right mind could possibly identify with or feel any sympathy for the situation she has brought on herself?

This is a case about responsibility and justice. We’ve illustrated the mother’s irresponsibility, but how will she be held accountable for the millions of dollars it will cost to provide for her children. Yes, millions, as they say, “You do the math!” We believe while no criminal statutes apply to her behavior, she is intellectually, morally, and psychologically unfit to care for children. The children must be removed from her care. Foster care is living hell for children as there is an extreme lack of appropriate parents who can provide such help. We must deal with a very somber reality check here. These poor children would be much better provided for in an orphanage than with an insane mother leaching off her parents in a tiny dwelling. We’d pray that these kids are healthy and could be adopted by responsible loving parents.

The other obvious truth about this tragedy is that no matter how insane this horrible woman is, she could not have brought this situation upon herself without the support and efforts of grotesquely irresponsible medical professionals who have created a public health tragedy as fourteen children living together under one house all so close in age without the ability for responsible support cannot be justified on any moral or professional grounds. The State of California must investigate all aspects of this case to the fullest. They and the medical profession must take appropriate legal and disciplinary action against everyone involved in the decision making process that caused this horrible situation.

There is a final answer to this problem. One that we have heard many times before and have often laughed at as it has been the far reaching explanation for everything that’s wrong with our world today. Society is to blame!

Before we laugh this off, what kind of social environment, what lack of proper education, upbringing, and moral guidance could make a situation like this even thinkable. While we hold the idiot mother responsible for her stupid and evil behavior, lots of things happened that allowed her to become the walking disaster she is. Between the doctors who worked with her, any social service agents who attended to her and her parents, so many have played enabler in this situation the responsibility falls on many hands, but none of this takes away the blame that must fall on Nadya Suleman and the primary care physicians who enabled this horrible human tragedy to become reality.

Finally, once again, we challenge those who approach this immoral and disgusting tragedy with their, “Who are we to judge?” amorality. There is no responsible justification for what has happened here. Any person who does not feel intense revulsion over a situation as horrible as the Suleman litter reveals has some serious issues of his or her own that helps feed the kind of social conditions that make such moral catastrophes possible. We extend the blame to each and every person who harbors that kind of lack of conviction and cowardice responsible as well as surely people like this are the architects of the moral-free environment where a disturbed and idiotic person can find reinforcement for such horrible decisions.

YOKEL SOUTH CAROLINA SHERIFF MAY SEEK LEGAL ACTION AGAINST PHELPS


Can it get any more stupid? For whatever reason, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott sure sounds like a world class ASSHOLE! Either he's trying to make a name for himself, is playing the good old boy macho tough guy "nobody gets away with this in mah town!," or even scarier he feels he is duty bound and this is the right thing for him to do.
In Sheriff Yahoo's own words: "This case is no different than any other case. This one might be a lot easier since we have photographs of someone using drugs and a partial confession. It's a relatively easy case once we can determine where the crime occurred."

Enough already. Leave the kid alone. Legalize pot. Cut out the f**king hypocrisy and idiotic pompous moralizing. Weed is illegal. Beer is not. Millions if not billions of dollars are wasted, not to mention resources, enforcing this archaic and stupid law. How much of our border problems would be solved if this moronic law were overtuned.


It's the 21st century, America! WAKE UP! While no man is above the law, no law is above the people. If there were ever a time to get our priorities straight it is NOW!!!
