Follow Up: Fun with Morons
We wrote as many responses to various www.infowars.com postings on the Bilderberg gathering as we could last weekend to see what kind of reactions we might elicit, and as expected our arguments of reason, logic, and historical fact ZOOMED right over their imbecilic, insectile little minds. Incapable of assimilating and tackling the issues we proposed they could simply follow two tacts: one blaming what we posted as being the product of socialists, sell-outs, Obama-lovers, and NOW agents. They also insisted in a number of different ways that we dine on fecal matter. Classy responses, eh?
It would be fun to work with a couple psychologists and specialists in social behavior to establish what’s going on in the Alex Jones world of paranoid conspiracy freaks. It would be interesting to see if they share certain socio-economic markers or do they just fall in the biggest category of all in the United States which far outnumbers any special interest or victim group, STUPID WHITE PEOPLE.
Anyway, we’re trying to get their addresses so we can send them marketing material on some wonderful ocean front real estate in Arizona and around Hagerstown, Maryland.
We were looking for some good humorous quotes or something juicy to report from our little diversion last week, but these folks are such absolute dullards, they don’t even provide the raw material for the making of great classics like redneck jokes.

Having Fun With MORONS!!!
While we're inclined not to argue with idiots since they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience every time, we couldn't help but want to have a little fun with Alex Jones and his zombie droids. Fervert in their stupidity and resolute in their paranoia, this is the world of Infowars and Prison Planet, two places where Alex Jones assembles his horde of likeminded droids, so this weekend's events made us take a little look into the alternate reality of www.infowars.com. One of the things that really gets them upset is the Bildersberg Group which meets at some ritzy resort or hotel every couple years. All kinds of big shots: corporate executives, scientists, big shots in government, and others with lots of wealth, success, and achievement from the United States, Canada, Europe, Japan, and other great nations gather for a couple days to wine, dine, network, listen to speeches and discuss the affairs of the day.
Holy creepers, jeepers, what this really must be is a meeting of the New World Order, in what seems to be a plot almost like those from a James Bond Movie, a cabal of malicious forces who are over the world. We just haven't established who the Mr. Big bad guy is and we assure the world, Alex Jones, the paunchy loud mouth is NO James Bond. For the paranoids who buy into this nonsense, this event gives them the creeps and gives assholes like Alex Jones some great stuff to scare his audience of sheepish paranoids CRAZY!!!!!
They're more worried that the government is dumping stuff in our drinking water that will make us mindless compliant zombies than what's going on with our economy, the lack of an energy policy and other such things that affect our day to day lives.
How sad it is to see how the kind of inferior people who follow Alex Jones and his partner the mysterious Dr. Watson react when confronted with truly great people of accomplishment and prestige. They're too low to even be jealous -- the realization that they are so insignificant comparing their retched little lives of talk show madness to the great leaders of our time -- knowing they are but a grain of sand compared to the great Rock of Gibraltar is too much too take. The big rock is on the move to crush them. Boo-sobbing-hoo!!!!
For fun, we've set up a our "rightminded fellow" as a chat member to comment on their site. We decided to have a good old literary drive by shooting trying to infuse a little rational thinking into their dialog. It will be fun to see how those freaks react. STAY TUNED....

Nukes, Japan, Talk Radio, and Reality
The situation regarding the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plants is extremely serious if you're Japanese. Efforts to get the damage caused by the recent Tsunami under control is not succeeding, and at least one worst case scenario is realistically possible. The #3 reactor, the most dangerous of the three since it is driven by Plutonium as its fuel source is also the most damaged. Nothing attempted so far has manged to cool the reactor to safe levels. The core appears to be leaking. Radiation emissions have reached a much higher, more critical level. While few will say it directly, a meltdown looks quite possible. How that would affect the other three reactors with various degrees of damage too is hard to determine.
What won't happen is that any of these reactors could explode like a nuclear bomb explosion. What could happen would be environmental and atmospheric exposure to extremely dangerous radiation. Still, there is no evidence the reactor would explode wide open like the 1986 Ukrainian Chernobyl disaster from the Soviet Union. Currently, adding to the overall scare is reportage that "millions" died from cancer suggesting Chernobyl was the cause. This is not true, but the death toll was significant. 336,000 people were relocated to uncontaminated land. Territory in the Ukraine and Belarus remain contaminated today. 31 people were killed directly from the Chernobyl explosion, but the radiation deaths are harder to determine. Of the many cancer deaths over the likely geographic area, how many were truly caused by this disaster?
The World Health Organization reports 50 deaths as of 2005 appear certain and the overall toll over time could reach 4,000. Greenpeace, an activist environmental group believes the death toll could reach 200,000. Where are the millions that scare monger talk radio hosts suggest?
We report this neither to minimize Japan's emergency or use Chernobyl as the big scare. Chernobyl is the one fatal nuclear disaster so far. Three Mile Island suffered a complete core meltdown, but there was not one death. Fukushima Daiichi will be worse than Three Mile Island. Predictions are just that and we do not know what the end of this story will be.
Worst case scenario is a lot of precious land could be ruined rendered unusable for countless generations. How much radiation reaches fatal levels and how many people will be exposed is not possible to be calculated yet. What is for certain, residents in the United States have absolutely NOTHING to fear. Might Geiger counters make a little more noise -- yes. Is that indicating a danger -- no. We are exposed to radiation sources daily, and x-rays, CAT scans and MRI's subject us to higher levels. We exposed ourselves to radiation for years with CRT tube televisions and computer monitors. Plasma TV's emit radiation too.
No matter what happens in Japan, there will not be enough radiation crossing the Pacific Ocean to hurt even Hawaii.
So how should society deal with those who use the public airwaves to misinform us, scare us over insane speculations, lie about how the government is dealing with the disaster, and suggest us to do irresponsible things like taking prophylactic doses of Iodine supplements?
Fear mongering on the Japanese reactor problem is all over the Internet, but few are more conspicuous than the mastermind behind infowars.com and prisonplanet.com, Alex Jones. Early, Jones boasted to his audience and on video, that he has obtained a huge quantity of iodine capsules so his people will be safe. Now today, in his absence, his substitute host cranks up the paranoia machine even to a higher degree. This makes Glenn Beck look rational.
We present this to show the kind of nonsense that's fueling the fear. That any radio station licensed to serve the public good would broadcast such nonsense is appalling. This is Paul Wilson filling in for Alex Jones. The insane paranoid conspiratorial message is the same.
If this program is broadcast in your community, you must write, email, or call station management and tell them what you think of such irresponsible programming. To the extent that listeners might believe such outrageous spin becomes the station's responsibility for allowing it to be broadcast.
We must demand better of the broadcasting industry in our country. While individuals' freedom of speech allows them to lie and scream "the sky is falling" this does not mean broadcasters can continue to provide outlets for serial liars, vicious demagogues, and filthy fear mongers.
Please join us in demanding responsible (regardless of political stance) broadcasting. This cannot stand.

G Gordon Liddy Hawking Gold

Is it just me? Somehow having a convicted felon, G. Gordon Liddy as the front man to sell buying gold as an investment doesn't seem like credible advertising to me? On what authority does this criminal have to be the proper frontman for financial advise.
He's certainly become popular on the talk show circuit still heard on over 160 radio stations nationwide. Conservatives who find him an informed spokesman surely should do some careful soul searching.
What is Liddy's excuse for his roll in a criminal ploy that was one of the most disgraceful events in American history? "I was just following orders" certainly doesn't fly. We know that in the aftermath of the ravages of Nazi Germany.
Liddy is a sleazy opportunist. He capitalizes on certain feelings of alienation and distrust of the status quo, but is there any figure in recent history who contributed more to promoting the public's distrust of the American government than Mr. Liddy?
After Watergate, the public will be forever more skeptical of our government and its institutions often to a high state of paranoia as shown by how some attack the CIA and the intelligence profession for what they did in the wake of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
One must realize, the label "right wing talk show host" is a broad brush. Some figures like G. Gordon Liddy and Michael Savage downgrade the profession contrary to the much more learned and targetted work of others.
So you want to buy gold on Liddy's say so? We have some great investment opportunites for ocean front resort property just outside of Hagerstown, Maryland. Let us know if you're ready to invest!!!

Profiles in Left Wing Loonies: Janeane Garofalo, Mindless Twit

Janeane Garofalo is a mindless twit who takes herself way too seriously, but has become a much more outspoken figure than the run-of-the-mill Hollywood activist crowd having served on the ill-fated ultra-left, Air America radio network. The irony is she is a comedienne by trade but never a very effective one having enjoyed a short tenure on Saturday Nite Live where she didn’t last long as a part of the 1994-1995 season, back when the show was still occasionally very funny citing that their material was “weak” and “sexist.” How ironic is it now that she appears on Fox Network’s blockbuster show, “24” which is one of conservative America’s favorite TV shows for its robust anti-terrorist, assertive fight the enemy style. Perhaps for Garofalo, lack of work and lack of talent leads to a minor roll on a show that would seem to be a total sellout to her political beliefs.
Still she’s never shy about her opinions. We hate giving her any more publicity, but her words are so typical of a psychotic self-righteousness that also reveals extreme hatred and bitterness toward their perceived enemies. One has to wonder what her knowledge of neuroscience. Surely, she has zero knowledge of the hard realities of political science.
So here you can read it for yourself. The twit speaks. This is sourced from interview posted on “Ecorazzi” website, “the latest in green gossip, February 12, 2009.
…..since it is clear and has been clear since Reagan that the republicans, the “conservatives” will NEVER play ball…NEVER…fu%$ um.
Their policies have destroyed us and most of the world – that’s a fact not an opinion. Their policies of deregulation, pre-emptive strikes, unmitigated support for Israel to the detriment of the Israelis, Palestinian’s, Americans, the British. Every single policy that “conservative republicans” have put forth since Reagan has destroyed us. And we affect most of the world, so why do they still get a say? That’s what blows my mind. It’s almost like self-flagellation or masochism in some way. We keep going to that portion. They are NEVER going to compromise. The thing is that the more you give in to something like that, the more they take advantage.
The reason a person is a conservative republican is because something is wrong with them. Again, that’s science – that’s neuroscience. You cannot be well adjusted, open-minded, pluralistic, enlightened and be a republican. It’s counter-intuitive. And they revel in their anti-intellectualism. They revel in their cruelty.
I don’t know if you heard me talking to Jenny a while ago, but I was saying that first you have to be an asshole and then comes the conservatism. You gotta be a dick to cleave onto their ideology.
We will not dignify these remarks with any specific response other than to say we hardly revel in our cruelty but what is she doing in speaking in this kind of a harsh voice? I’d be interested in how much money she donates to charities that actually provide help to others. Time and time again, surveys show conservatives are far more generous than liberals who have so often be shown to be absolutely niggardly in their contributions as shown by the IRS data on Joe Biden and Al Gore.
It should be easy to dismiss Garafalo’s comments as just those of a hot-headed extremist, but this is the kind of talk that is posted daily on sites like The Daily KOS, MoveOn.Org, and the Huffington Post. While not stooping to the same kind of language as it would be inappropriate for the Speaker of the House, such sentiments are at very least implied in just about every public presentation Nancy Pelosi provides the news media.
The endemic underlying hatred and resentment of the radical left is hard to ignore. For a movement that attached itself to the “peace, love, and flowers” in the 60’s, the loony left is grounded anger and a complete detachment of what makes the real world work whether on economic policy or what it takes to keep our country free. Their contempt for free enterprise and a strong defense are cornerstones of their warped ideology.

A-Fraud?

WHOA! Stop the presses. Alex Rodriguez is coming forward not only acknowledging that he used performance enhancers in 2003, but also for the two previous seasons, 2001 and 2002. Given the dope drenched environment the Texas Rangers were at that time, who could be surprised, but don't we somehow always hope for the best?
Let's hope so, because the alternative is so much worse.
How ironic it is that reports have surfaced that Alex “A-Rod” Rodriguez used steroids according to multiple sources while playing for the Texas Rangers. At the time, it was not explicitly forbidden by Major League Baseball, but some administrations of such drugs is legal. Others are not. It wasn’t that long ago that Major League Baseball saw A-Rod as the night in shining armor who would eventually surpass Barry Bond’s homerun record removing his tarnish from the record books. Now, even if the allegations against “Pay-Rod” or “A-Fraud” are never substantiated, the innuendoes and rumors will persist, and should he reach the mark for that ultimate achievement their will at least be angry and suspicious whispers.
Let’s not get caught up in the legalize and lawyer speak on this issue. Taking steroids except for specific medical treatments where such therapy is appropriate as deemed by an ethical and responsible doctor is absolutely, positively wrong. Using steroids to enhance one’s performance ability in sports is dishonest and immoral. While we might be somewhat sympathetic to someone like Andy Pettite who admitted his use immediately saying he used the drugs to help him overcome an injury more rapidly or Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts who said he did so once as a young player being duped by peer pressure at a time the Orioles locker room was dripping with drugs, these are substances that cause severe long term consequences for users. Have people forgotten the horrible death and long painful struggle former Oakland Raiders star, Lyle Alzado, suffered from thanks to his steroid use?
How ironic it is that this story should surface the same year that Michael Phelps was shown taking a powerful puff of marijuana from a bong.
How does a parent have a sensible discussion on drugs with this insanity going on? Marijuana really isn’t that bad, but don’t use it because if you get caught the legal consequences could ruin your life. Well, you can buy things that are legal, but they can really mess up your body and cause horrible problems in the future. Some might opt for a zero tolerance stance, but any kid with an IQ above 85 can see the hypocrisy of that.
With hypocrisy being one of the key words, and all the insane moralizing, double standards, and mixed messages, the best thing adults can do with young people is just be honest. Talk about the subject as openly and truthfully as possible. It’s hard to talk to kids about the legal hassles of marijuana prohibition when respect for the law is one of the core values parents should stress, but teenaged kids should be trusted to understand that, as we’ve written earlier, just because something is illegal doesn’t make it wrong and likewise not everything that is wrong is illegal. While our political institutions are worthy of respect, the people who serve in those offices are just as human as anybody else and must earn our respect. We’ve had good presidents and bad presidents, and only we as people can change that for the better.
When one thinks these issues through honestly and openly, none of them are that complicated. Getting the political establishment to behave likewise and respond appropriately is a whole different discussion.

President Bush Pardons Few in Final Hours

Pardon Me!
We applaud President Bush for not issuing a raft of last minute pardons as has been a building tradition in recent administrations. The pardons granted by George W. Bush are far less than half those granted by Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan on their departure from office.
Is it possible that Clinton’s pardon of crooked financier, Mark Rich, as well as members of a Puerto Rican terrorist gang, actions which are subjecting Barack Obama’s nominee for Attorney General, William Holder, to much scrutiny since he dig much of the legal legwork to enable Clinton to rush these pardons through, could have muddied the public’s confidence in the pardoning process thus making President Bush extra cautious not to do anything that could be seen in the same light? Could it be that the President is simply being consistent with his behavior through out his political career believing in the legal process and the rule of law not wanting to grant any special considerations that would override the intent of judges and juries who passed judgment on possible candidates for pardon?
Some expected that Bush might pardon Scooter Libby. He did not having earlier commuted his sentence. Likewise there was a huge uproar particularly among the conservative talk show community demanding pardons of border agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean who shot and wounded a border suspect who later proved to be a drug dealer. While the shooting victim was a lowly slug, the kind of criminal who makes the southwestern border issue a rallying point for many as the Mexican Border a porous boundary of little consequence allowing infidels and insurgents to freely crawl into America along with those who are simply in search of a better standard of living, nevertheless, these agents were tried and found guilty of unlawful conduct including trying to cover up their deeds involved in the shooting. While we applaud forceful and assertive action dealing with criminals who pass into the United States, we do not condone enforcement agents who act above the law, in essence acting as prosecutor, judge, jury, and possibly executioner with guns by their sides. President Bush acknowledged these agents were guilty of a crime but also, on compassionate grounds, felt they had paid their debts for their conduct, and while not granting them full pardons, commuted their sentences so they could return to their families and attempt to put their lives back together.
We applaud President Bush for not giving into political pressure or other influences to use the pardon process as a “Get Out of Jail Free” card for those who have not served their time but had the support to utilize the political process to overturn the legal process.
Surely it would be out of character for President Bush to perform a necessary action much like Ford’s pardon of Vietnam Draft Resisters, and pardon every person rotting in jail for things as basic as simple marijuana possession. We continue to support emphatically the full legalization of marijuana, subjecting it to appropriate government standards, selling it legally, and taxing the hell out of it, taking a multi-billion dollar industry off the black market and putting it in the retail market where it belongs where it can generate tax revenue without taking any money away from citizens who need the money to make ends meet or the more fortunate whose money can be a vital part of growing the economy which would be taken out of the free enterprise system if seized by taxation.
Prohibition of alcohol provided nothing beyond the growth of organized crime, and while we look at the pardon of two border agents patrolling a leaking sieve through which much elicit drug traffic travels as a reminder that under the status quo, marijuana sales provide a huge cash cow for criminal elements who engage in far more evil deeds than selling a little reefer. The entire country of Mexico is corrupted by the organized crime behind the drug market holding towns, villages, and entire regions hostage to the evil grip of Mexicali drug lords.
What would be a greater contribution to our nation’s security than taking assertive measures that could help Mexico develop a thriving conventional economy and a political system rescued from the demonic grip of the drug cartel?
These are issues to be dealt with by future administrations. Right now, we applaud the efforts President Bush has made to keep integrity in our justice system above petty political considerations and some segments of public opinion.

Media Banned From Obama Plane

Now that the endorsements are in, the print media has performed as expected. Most major big city newspapers endorsed Barack Obama essentially echoing his themes of "change," while taking some of their left wing jabs at John McCain, once their Republican darling until he became a serious contender for the party's presidential nomination.
As Right Minded Fellow has been reporting, Barack Obama has little tolerance for anyone who would dare critique his mantra in an way or ask probing questions that reveal the contridictions and true intent of his positions.
So much for the promises of being the post partisan candidate promising an open administration where all views are respected.
Effective immediately, three major newspapers that endorsed John McCain have been booted out of the traveling press contingency that travels with the Obama campaign. The papers are, The New York Post, The Washington Times, and The Dallas Morning News.
As voters seek answers to disturbing questions about Obama's background, his political philosophy, and those who've influenced his political philosophy, the Obama campaign is acting to censor through denial the ability for truth seeking reporters to do their job.
Not since Hilary Clinton's possession of the FBI files and Richard Nixon's systematic attempts to maintain a list and investigate his critics, has the United States seen such blantant contempt for a free, open, and honest press.
In light of the investigations lead by Obama supporters working for the Ohio state government to see what dirt they can dig up on Bill the Plumber's financial and legal status for he dared to ask a heartfelt question of Obama when the candidate was canvasing this private citizen's neighborhood.
Folks who need to understand just how dangerous Obama's politics are should read George Orwell's novel, 1984, as those concepts are even more relevant today in the "information age." Also, read The Communist Mannifesto as composed by Karl Marx as not only does it reveal much insight into the economics of Obama-Nation but also how the socialist revolution seeks to corrupt society to futher its goals and create a socialist state.

Voice of the Game: Skip Caray Dies

Skip Caray, long time voice of the Atlanta Braves known nationally through the Braves games being telecast on Superstation TBS for thirty years, died at his home near Atlanta. Caray, a long time diabetic has also been struggling with complications from bronchitis and liver ailments. Caray is the son of legendary Hall-of-Fame broadcaster, Harry Caray, known for his years with the Chicago Cubs leading Cubs fans in singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" including his own adaptation, "For it's root, root, root for the Cubbies..." Chip Caray, Skip's son, is also a nationally known broadcaster having worked for Fox and currently, TBS, where he is the primary play-by-play announcer for its Sunday afternoon Major League Baseball telecasts. Skip's younger son, Josh broadcasts for the Braves A team in Rome, Georgia. Broadcasting runs deep in the Caray genes as Skip's nephew, (Harry's grandson) Eric Stanger is director of Talk Show Operations for ABC Radio having a long association with talk show phenom, Sean Hannity. Chip Caray was broadcasting the New York Yankees hosting the Los Angeles Angels when told of his father's passing.
-
Skip Carrey was born in St. Louis while his father was voice of the St. Louis Cardinals. His first work in radio came while still in high school working for legendary radio station, KMOX doing fifteen minute program segments on St. Louis area high school sports. He began his professional broadcasting career covering the, minor league,Tulsa Oilers in 1963. He also broadcast college basketball for St. Louis University and more minor league baseball for the Atlanta Crackers prior to Atlanta hosting major league ball. Carrey's first shot a major level sports came in 1967 with the St. Louis Hawks which took him to Atlanta when the franchise moved. He joined Turner Broadcasting Systems in 1972 where he developed a close relationship with Ted Turner that eventually led to his assuming the play-by-play duties for the Braves.
-
Skip Caray will not only be remembered for his long tenure with the Atlanta Braves serving as their play-by-play announcer since 1976, he has covered national baseball telecasts for NBC for the 2000 playoffs and TBS. Carrey also served as play-by-play announcer for TNT's Sunday Night NFL coverage and contributed to covering Ted Turner's "Goodwill Games."
Skip Caray will be remembered as the elder of the second generation of baseball broadcasters. When his son, Chip, began his broadcasting career as the voice the Orlando Magic, it marked the first time three generations of the same family had broadcasters for major sports. In 1993, Chip signed on as play-by-play announcer for the Seattle Marriners. Three generations of Caray's were all in the both for Major League Baseball.
-
Chip Caray will be missed by baseball fans nationwide, but his loss will be most difficult for Atlanta Braves and north Georgia sports fans as Caray was at the microphone as the Braves grew from perennial losers through the Dale Murphy era to the Braves' ascent as the dominant team in the National League winning division titles from fourteen consecutive seasons from 1991 to 2005 (2004 was suspended due to strike), playing in five World Series, and winning the World Championship in 1995. Caray had cut back to a limited broadcasting roll as TBS would no longer carry Braves games nationwide on TBS and health problems prevented travel.
-
Chip Carey was inducted into the Atlanta Braves Hall of Fame in 2004.

Michael Savage: Autism and the Big Lie

Michael Savage, Autism and the Big Lie: “There is no definitive medical diagnosis for autism. None.”
Right Minded Fellow has no use for Michael Savage. Savage is unquestionably one of the most controversial and dangerous figures blabbing over the airwaves today. Conservative talk show hosts, including Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh, with no expertise in child psychology have frequently made assertions about the extent to which children are being medicated for various different behavioral issues suggesting that drugs have become a substitute for proper discipline in schools and the home making sweeping claims about the nature of adolescent behavioral and learning difficulties offering nothing more than anecdotes and opinion to establish their platform.
Are schools quick to recommend parents go to pill doctors simply because the modern secular politically-correct school with inconsistent and ridiculous behavior policies cannot tolerate behavior that is little more than boys guilty of nothing more than being boys? ABSOLUTELY.
The failure of public education to effectively guide student behavior is a topic for another day.
To frame this conversation let’s first establish something in clear black and white, though Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity have used their status inappropriately spreading false assumptions on the appropriate use of psychotropic drugs for specific medical conditions that affect behavior, the extent to which they use their pulpit inappropriately is mild compared to Michael Savage’s extremism. Limbaugh and Hannity are quite articulate spokesmen on numerous conservative issues generally supporting their contentions with demonstrable fact. They are completely out of their element discussing child and adolescent psychology. Michael Savage on the other hand, is a dangerous demagogue who lives on exploiting the fears, prejudice, and ignorance of his audience. Though his starting point might often be mainstream conservative issues, where he takes his rhetoric is a hateful place.
Let’s let Savage’s own words show how extreme and his malicious outlook on autism, a severe affliction affecting thousands of children creating tremendous hardship and heartbreaking difficulties for their families, truly are. Sadly, the public is horribly uneducated on this unfortunate misery which affects perhaps more than one child out of 150. Even allowing for degrees of severity, this is a somber reality requiring thoughtful, clear-headed thinking not vile bigoted assertions.
Here are some of the outrageous comments from Michael Savage’s radio broadcast from Wednesday, July 16.
“Now the illness du jour is autism,”…. “You know what autism is? I’ll tell you what autism is. In 99 percent of the cases, it’s a brat who hasn’t been told to cut the act out. That’s what autism is.”
“What do you mean they scream and they’re silent?” … “They don’t have a father around to tell them, ‘Don’t act like a moron. You’ll get nowhere in life. Stop acting like a putz. Straighten up. Act like a man. Don’t sit there crying and screaming, idiot.’ ”
As if being totally off-base on autism, Savage further shows his mean-spirited bigotry trying to associate autistic behavior with problems from single parent fatherless homes. Stereotyping family situations further confuses the issue. How would Mr. Savage account for the thousands of cases from two parent houses? What about autistic kids whose parents are the people of faith who live inspired and motivated by their faith and conviction? There are plenty of strict loving fathers who struggle to provide for families ravaged with the day-to-day misery of finding appropriate treatment for their autistic children.
How many parents of autistic children has Mr. Savage interviewed to develop his conclusions? Raising an autistic child can be pure frustration and hell. Parents of such children have had to put all pretenses of a normal life on hold to work with their children and fighting the system which is often ill-prepared to help them deal with their children’s difficulties.
"It is the falsely diagnosed, the misdiagnosed and the outright fakers who want the benefits, who must be found out and must be turned out, so that the money can go to the truly needy in this particular field…"
In this quote, Savage resorts to his typical bully technique of unfounded accusations with no specifics to back his ridiculous claim. For an issue as widely studied causing tremendous disruption and misery in many American families exactly who are the “outright fakers?” Oh they must be “found out?” Where’s the evidentiary trail? This smacks of the kind of sensationalist garbage that is routine fare for the so-called “Savage Nation.”

As if the above statements are not enough to turn one’s stomach, eventually most demagogues go for the big lie:
“There is no definitive medical diagnosis for autism. None.”
Michael Savage would have to be living under a rock to make this assertion. World renowned psychiatrist and physician, the late Dr. Leo Kanner began his explorations in to child psychology in the 1930’s at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Known at the father of child psychiatry, Kanner published the primary work, “Autistic Disturbances of Affective Contact,” (1943), identifying autism which set forth the framework and study of the disease moving forward. Kanner would continue his pioneering work through the 1950’s until his retirement in 1959. Since Dr. Kanner’s authoritative work, much study has been conducted worldwide on all aspects of this troubling disorder.
Sticking to his guns after significant pressure from the outraged public, Savage tries to weasel around his comments by saying:
“My comments about autism were meant to boldly awaken parents and children to the medical community's attempt to label too many children or adults as "autistic."
Pitiful, Michael Savage is accountable for his vicious lies for the children and families who deal with the intense challenges of autism every day. Further, Savage has cruelly disparaged the efforts of thousands of professionals, doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, social workers, and school based personnel who have put tremendous effort and heart in their profession to help children suffering a vexing and terrible disability where compassion and understanding is sadly lacking.

That hate-talker Michael Savage would serve to enhance wretch stereotypes, vicious prejudices, and demonstrably false claims about autism, more than one out of 150 children, is deplorable conduct that has no place on our nation’s airwaves. This is a far more serious issue than the Don Imus "ho" low blow that created a national outrage. Savage proclaims to be knowledgeable about a situation he shows totally ignorance about. Misguided free-speech advocates might see ridding the airwaves of Savage's blather as a matter of censorship. It is not. Radio stations pay entertainers to provide a commercially viable product suitable for the tastes and sensibilities (or lack of) of the radio audience.
Carrying Michael Savage might draw significant ratings in some markets where prejudiced and insecure listeners find justification for their lack of education and sophistication championed by hate-mongers like Savage. To what extreme will radio station programmers go to rack up ratings by appealing to the worst qualities in their listening audiences? Advertisers and responsible members of the broadcasting profession are hereby called upon to withdraw their support of the Savage Nation and provide for more responsible thought provoking talk radio.
The government could have an answer for programs like Michael Savage, the "Fairness Doctrine." What could play into the hands of the radical left in Congress seeking to muzzle traditional conservative expression than holding up hate mongers like Michael Savage as their prime example why government censorship of the airwaves could be justified. Sadly, such action would not pick off just the rogue broadcasters like Savage but quality programming like Laura Ingraham, Larry Elder, Neil Bortz, and many others could be casualties as well.
Radio stations must be responsible for providing honest, thought provoking programs regardless of where their ideas fall on the left-right continuum. Ignorant flame-throwers viciously stereotyping mentally disabled children and their family situations serves no positive purpose at all.
