Stop Whining About the Bow!!!

In our judgment, Barack Obama bowing to the Saudi King was a dumb thing to do. The United States President should, from a power relationship, bow to no one as he is the most powerful leader in the world who derives his authority from the consent of the American people, not his birth right or the point of a gun.

We feel it is sad that in the photo-op world of the modern media age, our President appeared to show more ceremonial respect to the Saudi King than the British Queen when Great Britain is our most steadfast ally through good times and bad.

Every President has to deal with tradition and protocol as he and his advisors see fit. Perhaps a display of respect according to a foreign country's customs could be a friendly gesture, an ice breaker for a friendly exchange. It might be appropriate on occasion.

We question Barack Obama's motives as he has gone so far out of his way to cow-tow to the Islamic world while often giving the cold shoulder to traditional concerns. The way he criticized our civilization and had brow beaten our European allies is shameful.

What is most disgusting about the bowing episode is the extent to which the Obama admnistration is denying the bow. That's a bold faced lie from a President who acts that if something comes from his mouth it is so.

While this incident is getting so much attention, there are far more important issues concerned citizens must call out the Obama administration on for their shameful overreach and putting the hand of the Federal government where it does not belong.

If the President had any sense, he would bow to the American people. If he doesn't wise up soon, we're going to kick his ass and take a bow while he's reeling in pain.
The hoopla over "the bow" is much more a distraction than it deserves. Let's get on to more important things. As we stated upon his election, it's important that the opposition carefully pick its fights.
