'Left Wing Media and Democratic Party Mouth Pieces Show Their Contempt for Dissent in Response to Tax Day Protests

Did anyone expect the media or the democratic party to take the “tea party” demonstrations seriously on tax day, but the examples of those who have leapt way over the line are perfect illustrations of their arrogance, their desire to oppress any opposition, and to demonize their critics in such a way, there can never be any serious debate on the issues our country is facing today where if the push to the left isn’t halted, the damage to our constitutional republic form of government coupled with a free enterprise economic system will be very difficult to undo as Barack Obama and his minions seek to increase the roll of government in our day-to-day lives while converting to a European style of socialist economic and social welfare system.

First, though no surprise, Nancy Pelosi responded to Wednesday’s activities with almost giggly sarcasm calling the pretense the demonstrations coming from the grass roots level a lie calling the effort, an “Astroturf” affair organized from higher up.

In what was supposed to be straight news reportage, CNN reporter Susan Roesgen at the site of one of the gatherings adopted a sneering, condescending, “Let’s talk to the little people” tone as she confronted one of the participants who attempted to give his reason for attending expressing the hypocrisy of Barack Obama’s practice of invoking the legacy of Abraham Lincoln to drive home his points. Not wanting to give her interviewee the chance to frame his arguments in any historical perspective, she interrupted him constantly prodding him what his answer had to do with taxes while attempting to lecture him whether he was aware that the Obama campaign had promised him a $300 tax break. There was no ignoring the absolute rudeness and disrespect shown a regular American citizen who is at odds with the prevailing political values of the CNN press corps.

See this insanity for yourself at this link: http://blog.heritage.org/2009/04/15/tea-party-update-cnn-in-chicago/

The following morning Paul Begala appeared on the Don Imus show with verbal guns glazing accusing the notion of the demonstration being a grass roots movement a sham attempting to demonize conservative talk show hosts and media personalities for staging the event.

No one would be surprised that the most insidious display of raw demagoguery and hatred toward the opposition would be on (surprise, surprise) MSNBC on one of the most depraved examples of issues oriented programming, Keith Olbermann’s nightly program with guess Janeane Garofalo who called participants “a bunch of teabagging rednecks’ and that “this is about hating a black man in the White House. This is racism straight up.”

Not expecting anything sane or rational from Ms. Garofalo, perhaps the most vicious of all the current left wing blabbers, she is surely ignoring that many events included not only African-American participants but speakers as well. Garofalo insisted the demonstrations were not about taxes or the economy and that the demonstrators surely weren’t intelligent enough to know the history of the Boston Tea party showing more of the pandemic left wing attitude that anyone who opposes them is inherently stupid.

Looking at news coverage as a whole, if the coverage wasn’t hostile, harshly critical, trivializing, and outright dishonest, it was dismissive with many news sources giving it little coverage burying the story deep in newspapers or as a strange oddity on television.

It is crucial that participants in this week’s activities and those who believe in the cause take careful note of how dishonest the news media has been covering this event and the total disregard and contempt shown by the Democratic party who are attempting to paint the activity as a Rush Limbaugh/Republican party affair. One couldn’t help but notice at the demonstration where the CNN reporter showed her stripes she was shown a demonstrator who had a sign that read, “The Republicans suck too.”

Although it is the efforts of the Obama administration and the Democratic leadership that has taken the outrageous tax, spend, and socialize programs to such an extreme level brought on by bailouts and something for every handout cause, the demonstrators are aware of Republican actions which helped set the stage for the current socio-economic fiasco.

Perhaps it’s time for the emerging tea party movement to take their action to the headquarters of major news outlets and let the voice of the people speak with such a loud voice, news room editors can’t silence them.

Let’s be clear on one commonly used slur the left-wing critics have used repeatedly to describe the “tea party” movement calling them “tea baggers.” While “tea bagging” is not a behavior well known by normal straight culture. “Tea bagging is the practice of a man lowering his genitals squatting over the face of his partner for acts of oral sexual gratification. This term is commonly understood among the “hip” media culture who would be fully aware of the full impact of calling the protesters, tea baggers.

The irony is most likely many of the demonstrators are too wholesome and not aware of pop culture dirty talk, the extent to which they are being insulted would be totally overlooked.

Nothing could express the sentiments of the left better than in Urban Dictionary website which gives as the second definition of tea bagging as:

A misinformed, right-wing corporate media consumer who often fails to understand that BOTH major parties represent a corrupt plutocracy that steals from the middle class by taxing labor and profiting from corporate tax subsidies. A teabagger also often fails to acknowledge that George W. Bush and his neo-conservative minions perpetrated one of the boldest and most egregious executive power grabs in the history of the United States. Furthermore, teabaggers mistakenly continue to blame a newly elected President Obama for all that ails the United States of America, based on a grossly flawed perception of reality (including latent racial prejudice) and despite the fact the U.S. economy collapsed on the previous administration's watch. Teabaggers are also known to base their misguided, right-wing-media-inspired beliefs about President Obama on stupid conspiracy theories about totalitarian takeovers, FEMA camps, etc., despite the fact these very same theories have been circulating around on the Internet for years, and were originally linked to neo-conservative cabalists at a time when Barack Obama had not even entered national politics. Teabaggers also are known to be particularly paranoid, xenophobic and intolerant, especially with regard to immigrants and anyone who isn't white. Additionally, teabaggers generally echo stupid myths about entitlement spending (it actually only comprises about 1% of federal budget spending), have no idea that most poor people in America are not lazy, actually do work and don't want to be on welfare, and have no idea what socialism actually means or that socialist reform in this country is actually what allowed a middle class to flourish and ultimately make the U.S. one of the most prosperous nations in human history. Furthermore, teabaggers incorrectly equate socialism with Stalinism, think a system that rewards greed (capitalism) is the divine preference (despite Gospel evidence to the contrary), and are shameless champions of a misguided belief in American exceptionalism. Teabaggers also fail to recognize the inherently unpatriotic nature of their failed every-man-for-himself ideology that ultimately vilifies anyone who supports public policy aimed at reaching out to fellow Americans in need. They celebrate an exploitative corporatocracy (holy creator of jobs, blah blah blah) while denigrating the little guy for being "weak." Interestingly, teabaggers uphold an immoral, morbidly obese, twice divorced, draft-dodging, college dropout, drug addict as their de facto leader, and are even known to advocate burning books. Of course, teabaggers fail to recognize the blatant hypocrisy within the GOP and tend to oversimplify all political debate and social issues. Finally, incredibly, teabaggers fail to recognize the hysterical double entendre associated with their proudly adopted teabag moniker. Every village has its idiots, of course, but its sad when citizens of any nation allow themselves to be whipped into a frenzy en masse by a state-run propaganda machine masquerading as a legitimate, fair, balanced and independent news organization. Teabaggers are right to believe the future of the U.S.A. is in jeopardy, but sadly they have not yet correctly identified the real enemy. Perhaps when teabaggers finally grow up and mature into thinking adults, they will see the right-leaning power establishment for the oppressive and cunning beast that it is.
teabagger: "Everyone knows Obama is a communist muslim who wants to repair the George Bush train wreck by giving taxpayer money back to the people. Let's go throw some Lipton tea bags in a fountain."

In this passage is virtually every media generated myth and left-wing stereotype of a wide range of critics who stand against the Obama movement. It’s illustrative that this anonymous posting so effectively captures the tone and attitude at how the pro-Obama radical leftists see their opponents.

Given the response and coverage to the April 15, 2009 tax day tea parties, all concerned citizens need to take their convictions to higher levels and support greater more emphatic protests in the future.

Is it any coincidence that the Homeland Security confidential report which shamefully stereotypes virtually every possible opponent to Obama administration and Democratic party policies as possible terrorists would have leaked to the public the day before these marvelous grass roots activites were staged? The news media and the radical left are united in their attempts to dismiss, trivialize, and demonize anyone who would dare question their perceived supremacy of their ideology.

The people WILL prevail.
