Go Away, Stay Away

Dear Sarah Palin,

Harry Truman observed, "If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen." Apparently, the kitchen was too hot. Be quiet, tend to your family. Take care of your responsibilities. Be quiet, and grow up.

A person who has only served a partial term as governor after being a small town mayor has very little experiential capital from which to bargain. What America needs to see to ever take Palin seriously, is evidence of substantial growth intellectually and showing more abilities that rah-rah speeches shallow on substance.

Dear Republicans,

Get over her. See her for what she is. Get beyond her. She was an easy rallying point. SARAH PALIN IS NOT AN IMMEDIATE GOOD CONSERVATIVE LEADER SIMPLY BECAUSE THE MEDIA AND THE DEMOCRATS LOVED TO PILE ON HER.

From this moment forward, the Sarah Palin book is closed. She'll need to write a lot more books before she can open a new chapter in national politics; however, she might not ever have the tools to belong in that arena.

The sooner conservatives and Republicans get over her and move on the better. Her fifteen minutes are up. She used up the clock beyond what she was due. Most of the attention she has received is in response to those who dragged her through the mud not for anything valuable she accomplished. She took her toys and went home sulking.
The less her name comes up in the future, the better.
