Specter Supports Pelosi: And Are You Surprised???

The left-wing media is proud to trot out Arlen Specter as a man of reason and great consciousness. Seeing his Republican party in his eyes racing the far right, he was moved to change parties. All this when he all but admitted it was a calculated political move since he realized he probably would not survive a primary challenge from Pennsylvania Republicans taking a swipe at them saying he wasn't about to have his 39 years of service be judged by such a constituency -- the same people who put him in office in the first place.

Specter has always been a sceptic of intelligence operations and has supported most legal restraints to their operation. Given this history, that he would support Nancy Pelosi, especially given he's trying to earn credibility with his new party, should surprise no one.

This gives no further credibility for Pelosi's case. It simple indicates the oportunistic nature of Specter's politics.

Who are your friends, Arlen? Who was there when you last stood for election -- guys you stabbed in the back and shamed. What a class act.
To my friends in Pennsylvania, when he's campaigning for reelection, you'd better count your fingers after you shake hands with this guy.
