Did any realistic Orioles fan think this day wasn't coming as far back as opening day? The Orioles would hit their 81st loss assuring another year without a winning record. Tonight's lineup was shaken and stirred dropping Brian Roberts from leadoff to 3rd for a little RBI pop, but the results were familiar, a 5-1 loss to the much improved Texas Rangers.
On September 5, 2009, the Orioles hit the point of no return. In contrast, last year the Orioles waited until September 13th.
This was the season fans were supposed to see an upsurge going down the stretch?
It hurts.
