How thin-skinned and uptight are some factions of the pro-abortion crowd. Focus on the family will air an advertisement featuring Tim Tebow and his mother in which Mrs. Tebow relates that due to health complications, doctors encouraged her to abort her pregnancy which resulted in delivering Tim. While the ad does not specifically ask for ending the choice of abortion, it does show that in her case, her exercising her choice and deciding to have the baby couldn’t have had more amazing results as witnessed by the accomplishments of her son.
Nobody has seen the ad. What we’ve reported above is about all the public knows about it. The Tebow family is showing the positive side of being Pro-Life. Nevertheless, the pro-abortion crowd is incensed. Quickly they dispatched spokespeople including Jehmu Green, a familiar pro-left wing spokesperson often associated with the Democratic Party and who worked with Rock the Vote, to hit the news talk show rounds and scream “fowl” that the NFL and CBS could possibly allow such a spot to be aired.
The irony is, had Ms. Green and her likeminded partisans kept quiet, the spot would probably not have received much notice at all sandwiched in with the much more polished and seductively produced (or gratuitously sexy) ones like Go Daddy’s series with sex kitten and race driver, Danica Patrick. The pro-abortion uproar will instead create a buzz that when the ad comes on, folks will stop and point out to their buddies, “Hey, here’s that ad everyone was fussing about on the news.”
If the ad is well-produced, most folks except for the most strident pro-abortion folks will think, “Whoa, that’s pretty cool. Hooray for the Tebow family. Aren’t they lucky?”
If folks react in that manner, the ad will have accomplished its purpose. Surely some will think twice and possibly reverse their decision to abort.
