Special Election Eve Edition: ESPN Meltdown

Is there any excuse, any excuse at at for Chris Berman who likes to go by "Boomer" but like everything else he does, his nickname is a rip off of more noteworthy Boomer's like Boomer Esiason who is not only a distinguished retired quarterback, excellent Football analyst and dedicated humanitarian.

Okay, he also goes by "The Swami" when making football predictions. He'll never get any love in the city he dubs "The Big Crabcake" as he seems to go out of the way to include the Ravens in his picks, and the Ravens are always the loser in his picks. This week it's two down to Cleveland.

So here comes the election and while most of us turn to sports to help escape all the election baloney, those watching the Redskins hosting the Steelers Monday night will be treated to the baritone blowhard interviews with John "King of Pain" McCain and Barack "Back-Back-Back-Back" Obama. Surely, he'll be looking for some angle to use the Presidential candidates as foils for his schtick.
To think, Berman is not the most obnoxious figure to evolve out of the Bristol barnyard. There's always his former colleague Keith Olbermann, the "worst person in the world."
